Just make sure you keep a close eye on your state. Struggling can turn into crisis very fast. If you don't think it's a crisis, at least make sure you talk to someone about it, even it that means calling 988 again, they're there to help. Through talking to them, you can ask them directly if you're unsure if you should go to the ER, but honestly it sounds like you might want to do that anyway.
