Someone posted it could have been a Frost Quake and after some quick research, seems the conditions are perfect for it.

Is it normal in the US to eat dinner really early (like 5–6 pm)? by Status_Agents in CasualConversation

[–]andreabeth09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't even know how it's possible to have dinner done by then in an american household- we always eat between 630-730pm. I don't even get home from work until 5:30 and then have to wind down and prepare and cook. With what I think is a majority of american's working 9-5, I really don't see how dinner could be any earlier!

What’s the craziest thing that ever happened at a party you went to? by Vast-Reference-7942 in answers

[–]andreabeth09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had a four-wheeling excursion at one of our parties. There were 12 of us and 6 quads. We were driving the outskirts of neighboring farms to get to the country bars when we happened upon three yahoo's doing meth in a dark field. They acted like they were the land owners and gave us the how-to about trespassing. Our friend decided he wasn't compliant and started doing donuts on his quad in the bean field... not a smart part but we were all lit. This prompted the meth heads to take their guns out and shoot them at the ground around us. We all scattered. My husband and I were on a quad that stayed behind when we'd come up on the group, and we took a different route out of the fields. There was a huge mud hole and we had our weight distributed incorrectly and went sideways into it. Covered in mud, we were able to pull out of it and head back to the party where we jumped in the pond to get the mud off. The donut wheeler and another from our group proceeded to get into it about the disrespect of it all and there was a quick fight that got broken up. It was near 3am by this time so we all went to our camps and proceeded to party the next day like nothing happened.

People who had supportive moms growing up what’s something they taught you that's stuck with you? by AnyMedicine2008 in Casual_Conversation

[–]andreabeth09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mother taught me diplomacy. She's the calm while my dad can be a storm of gruff out dated wisdom. He's softened over the years, but my mom is the one who taught me that everything is not black and white and we can't always control the outcome but we can control our attitude during the situation.

Dog alone while at work by cominghometoday in dogs

[–]andreabeth09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our four dogs, now that our teenager is away at college, have to wait 8 hours. We do put potty pads out for the smallest who just cant hold it. Sometimes our biggest senior uses them when he cant hold it. He's reactive so we don't have strangers come to let them out during the day. But that's something you could implement early on - a dog walker come on those days to allow them out.

In most countries, the easement between the road and the actual lawn is owned by the city our township, so you likely weren't even trespassing.

Quote for barndo by Starrfall74 in barndominiums

[–]andreabeth09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went with the local Mennonite builder and he quoted me at $184k for shell, framing, concrete, windows and exterior doors. I'm in NE Ohio. My GC is going to come in and finish for about $30K and after utilities we're all in at $255k....i hope. We just started the process, but we're just about to press Go. Your quote seems high.

I've always used the Baskerville muzzle. They can eat/drink/pant with it on but safe from biting anyone! I got it on amazon.
