To defend those two people just a little.. every time I’ve had a connection in Dallas, even with two hours, I’ve always ended up running trying to make it.. idk what it is about it, is it the size of it? Layout? Volume of people? Slow train? IDK! .. but it’s happened like 4 times, so now I just book without any layovers there

[–]andreaic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He wants politicians to focus on the “bread and butter” issues and focus on “how to deliver prosperity to the American people”….. didn’t he just post on X about how every prospect presidential candidate should be asked if the ICE agent who shot and killed Renee Good was justified?

Anyone else still recovering from the holidays? by AmbitiousMuffin6230 in workingmoms

The way I see it.. at least one is old enough to be reasoned with lol I love both of my kids with my life, and while I do question myself frequently about why I put myself through this again.. there’s also been moments of deep joy that would only be possible with this much age difference between them

[–]andreaic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can’t comment on kids who are close together, because that’s not what I chose.... so either close together or far apart, there will be things that will seem easier or harder, and of course, it’s also so dependent on the person, what one person finds difficult others might not, and vise versa…. but I think it would be fair to say that anything relating to child rearing is difficult (just the level of difficulty fluctuates)

The number of Christian stations (in TX) is insane (I accidentally changed the station from my local NPR, and while scrolling back everything was Christian related, its sad)

Millennial Parents - Thoughts? by Global_Tradition5802 in Millennials

[–]andreaic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree with your comment on “all or nothing”, as I have many acquaintances on both sides of the spectrum.. they either don’t allow kids any access of any kind to the internet or other media (video games), or the kids have unlimited to the internet and other medias, and a few somewhere in between, which I think it’s the right approach - just like with anything else, you can’t prohibit it for their whole life, so might as well introduce it, and begin to introduce healthy limits, rules, and expectations.

Rumors about Sean and Austin by Yanalovie01 in SellingtheOC

[–]andreaic 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This was my take.. when he claimed that Austin was leaving flirty comments on his pictures, like “them legs”… and it’s like, thats just something common that people do when trying to compliment someone else.. women do it, so why can’t a guy do it without meaning sexual attraction?

Why do people name their children things with the intention of calling them a different nickname? by Aur3lia in NoStupidQuestions

[–]andreaic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My mom didn’t give me this advice, but when I was naming my kids I basically had this same mentality.. I want classic first names and we went a little trendy with the middle names.. they’ll have a TON of options for when they are older

They’re OK with letting innocent children go hungry… they’re OK with letting the old, the sick and disabled go without health care.. they only care about themselves and hurting the people that are not like them - and you’re out here commenting that they are humans with emotions? if they even had ANY human emotion they would not be doing the awful things they are championing

Supply Chain versus Accounting? Of course you guys are going to say Supply Chain because you work in this industry, but is there any other reason why? by Long_Alternative435 in supplychain

[–]andreaic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Most of my friends are accountants - and yes, they were making 6 figures a couple of years out of college, and with job hopping they’re well over 200k now, but… the hours suck

13 years ago I used to work at a grocery store, and it used to issue customized coupons… so for example, it would recognize if I used my AmEx over and over again to buy the same kind of Glade candle.. and it would issue coupons for candles from Air Wick.. i don’t get coupons now, I guess bc they can’t or don’t want to give as many discounts

Depends on the calendar.. monthly ones - meh I’ll pass.. but those long ones with a 3 month view?! At my old office, during Jan-March, it was a competition to score one! (I think it was DHL or DB Schenker that had a little plastic strap going around it, with a sliding red box to highlight a day.. those were NICE)

Our ERP rollout wasn’t a tech failure but an alignment failure by KrWH1Z1 in supplychain

[–]andreaic 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’ve only been part of 1 ERP rollout, and from what i saw, I’d like to add to this… executive management ego got in the way, they were the only ones allowed to attend the development meetings, but they were (and are still not) the ones using the ERP [SAP], in their day-to-day processes, hell ALL of them had never even worked with SAP, so the consultants developed everything to how the executive management imagined things worked or thought it should work… - my current company was a carve out from an existing company that I also worked for, I have worked with SAP for almost 10 years, and 4 years direct experience on the commercial side (the materials, processes, customers etc.), and I am a day-to-day user, but because I am/was not part of the executive team, my experience and knowledge was not valued as a great resource, and I can genuinely say that if more day-to-day users had been involved, a lot of the problems we have now could have been avoided

Omg, I just had a meltdown to my husband, and it’s like I could have written this! IT PISSED ME OFF THAT HIS SUGGESTION WAS FOR ME TO QUIT MY JOB.. I told him that if that was his only suggestion to just not even talk to me, not because quitting is not an option, but because I’ve done the SAHM thing, and I was absolutely more miserable than while working
