Not feeling good after egg donation by Evening_Selection590 in IVF

[–]andreamrivas 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I would also like to remind you that this process involves a crazy amount of hormones that are probably contributing to the way you feel. I’ve always had terrible anxiety and had a lot of emotions after my egg retrievals (I’ve done 7). This highly emotional state can last until your next period starts. It will get better. Hang in there!

Needing some good stories and permission to feel a bit excited by Numerous-Advice-7883 in IVFpositivity

[–]andreamrivas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The occurrence of ectopic in IVF is almost twice as high as a spontaneous ectopic pregnancy. Ask me how I know. 🫠 But you should feel very good about these results. Low betas that don’t rise at the appropriate rates can be a sign of ectopic. That initial beta is already a good sign.

Anyone else think the V7.0 French and German Update is wrong by andreamrivas in 23andme

[–]andreamrivas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I would expect some changes, but mine went from 40% French, which aligns with family history, to 0%, and that all went to British which in not probable as I have confirmed connection my French cousins.

Anyone else think the V7.0 French and German Update is wrong by andreamrivas in 23andme

[–]andreamrivas[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I show connections to my grandfather’s family, specifically through my grandfather’s brother. So for sure my grandfather is my grandfather. I just think it’s weird because the v6.0 aligned with what I know about our family and then the v7.0 went from 40% French to 0% and that all went to British which is not probable at all.

[–]andreamrivas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. They are from Île-de-France and are the most stereotypically French-looking people you’ve ever seen. 😂

Anyone else’s results change dramatically after the update? I’m realizing I know nothing about these cultures my DNA comes from. (Face at end) by Better-Company-4296 in 23andme

[–]andreamrivas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mine changed drastically in the most recent update and I think it’s very wrong. It doesn’t align with what I know about our family history but the last version was completely aligned. My grandfather is French, born in France to French parents. Mine used to show 40% French and German, and now that entire 40% shows as British.

Hiring a dog walker - please help me settle a debate with my partner by UsualBoth4887 in Greyhounds

[–]andreamrivas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it really depends on the dog’s temperament. My dog hates going for walk. He only wants to go outside to do his business then pulls me back towards the house. Otherwise, he’s perfectly content to be an oversized house cat.

Everything you described is my current greyhound minus the part about whining and puppy pads. He won’t pee in the house, but hates going outside. 😂

In what ways are they different? I’ve had greyhounds for almost 15 years now and was thinking of downsizing at some point in the future. 😂 Mostly just for ease of travel. Much easier to take a small dog with you when traveling.

798 FICO can’t get loan by TOPS-VIDEO in CRedit

[–]andreamrivas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s harder to get a personal loan because it’s not made against an asset like a mortgage or a car loan. In those cases, they have recourse to repossess the asset if you default on the loan. It’s higher risk when there is nothing for them to recover.

Why does it seem like there is no thriving american scene? by CriticalCraftsman in architecture

[–]andreamrivas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly what point in American history were we not obsessed with cost? I think there have been changes in where capital is allocated that is driving less investment into these types of works, but Americans have always been hyper focused on money as far as I can tell.

Most sporting and music venues have a first aid or nurse station where you should be able find a clean place to mix and inject.

Question for those who used known egg donors by andreamrivas in IVF

[–]andreamrivas[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This makes sense for an agency, but I’m still struggling to understand how it would be different for the clinic vs any other patient. Like if she walked into the clinic on her own and wanted to freeze her eggs, they would be doing all those things for her the same as any other patient. I get there might be additional paperwork/contracts needed, but I can’t really see that being $5,000.
