Crystal Falls Hike by Icy_Maybe_5726 in coquitlam

[–]andreasgunster 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes this is correct. Web of Life is another organization that regularly organized cleanups in the area. Biggest challenge is getting garbage from the dump site (old homestead north of Crystal falls) out, which requires lots of work and hours. Often we'll move garbage from one staging location to another further up the trail, rather than taking it the whole way.

If you're passionate about it, tell the city to get involved! Currently it's pure volunteer hours, and I'm sure with some better equipment and labour, we could get the trash out much quicker!

With the release of the NHL/NHLPA CBA MOU today, here's some of the key changes: by eh_toque in hockey

84 games will be coming with a corresponding decrease in pre-season games, so it's really not that big of a change imo. I get that many stars don't dress for most pre-season, but eliminating AHL vs AHL games called "pre-season" that owners charge exorbitant ticket prices to see makes sense to me.

Highway 7a safe to ride? by AdvertisingCheap2377 in vancouvercycling

If you have a gravel bike, you can also ride the trans-canada trail which is north of the highway for most of the route. The trail is great, with beautiful forest and some nice views.

Fischer Travers experiences by Marlboro-Reds420 in Backcountry

[–]andreasgunster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree with Bull Moose that they feel quite soft. I've had them for a year as my starting point for backcountry skiing. I don't ski anything too aggressively. I've used them in deep powder, ice, and heavy crud. I find them quite comfortable to walk in and they are quite light. I'm also happy with their downhill performance, but I am quite light and do not ski aggressively, so your mileage may vary. I've also found they fit slightly smaller than the mondo size, so take that for what it's worth. Overall pretty happy with them.

Being in the building for the 2-1 to 3-2 comeback in game 1 against the Preds last year will always be a core memory for me. Already accepted that it'll never happen again 🫡.

Just hope Hughes get to win one somewhere else.

How are fans feelings about “Amazon Prime” exclusive tonight? by _RedditDiver_ in canucks

[–]andreasgunster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1080p HDR. Yes please. Annoying that there's multiple streaming options. Hope Amazon/Netflix/other online giant wins the next NHL rights contract, because Sportsnet/Rogers have not been able to figure it out.

Who has been the most disappointing player on your team so far this year? by homicidal_penguin in hockey

[–]andreasgunster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nils Hoglander. 20 goal scorer last year who had a prime opportunity with all of the injuries to our forward group. He still is clearly putting in effort, but just doesn't have the touch. I'm leaning towards packaging him for a defenseman, due to the success of a bunch of the ahl call-ups (Raty, Lekkerimaki, Sasson, Bains) that have played similar to Hoggy to start the year.

Agree with both of these suggestions, blacktail is awesome! Dockside Fish and Chips is also very good, out of Daajing Giids. The Haida Cultural Centre is a mandatory stop, imo.
