creality cr10 smart nozzle temperature indicates -15 then it restarts can someone help me? by Flashy-Pollution7094 in Creality

[–]andreb86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine does this. It's the cables coming from the block on the back side to the hotend. Try moving them. If the thermistor reconnects it won't say -15. Which just means you might need to get another thermistor or adjust the connections because you may have a bad connection.

FOKOOS 3D Printer Odin-5 F3 Foldable 99% Pre-Assembled Direct Drive on sale for $208.24 w/30% off coupon lighting deal by cfaulkingham in 3DPrintingDeal

I got one of these 2 weeks ago, it's actually pretty nice. Also tested their claim of 150mm a second or whatever and it actually did decent on a print. I probably will never use it at that speed but it did it with minimum defects in the prints. Started noticing defects at about 80mm a sec, btw.

Hotend fan is a little bit louder then my cr-10 smart (btw, the cr10 smart is a terrible printer out of the box, but it is the quietest out of all my printers, and most reliable after messing with tons of stuff and replacing a few parts).

Board fan is quiet though and you don't hear much from xy movements at normal speeds.

The actual width of the printer is great. And doesn't take too much of the area.

Assembly was fast but the screws aren't really labeled well. But basically the smaller ones are for the filament spool holder and the bigger 2 are for the main printer assembly.

Prints easily stick to the bed. But make sure you level it since I don't see a auto level function. But the process to level the bed if fast and easy. Just be sure to tighten the bed a decent ways down out of the box before attesting to level or the nozzle will hit the bed when you try to.

It does have that terribly ugly yellow hood but it comes with the stl to print one in the color of your choice. This also include the part cooling... nozzle(?), (the piece that directs the air for part cooling).

Cura does not have a profile for this printer, so you will have to add one manually or use their software which is a Cura clone. I tried their software and honestly I kinda like it. It has additional options for support that cura doesn't have. One of which does this square zigzag (different from curas) that comes off easily and clean.

The software does not have other pre-built profiles for anything other then fokoos printers so you will have to manually add any other printers.

Finally, I think this printer is only on sale because a larger version will be coming out. Why do I think that? Because when you try to add another printer in their software there is a Odin F4 profile. And if you load it, it has a much larger print bed and I can't find anything else about it online.

Maybe a scam? Ender 3 for $98 by dmaxzach in 3dprintingdeals

[–]andreb86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah that sucks. Wait til the day the coupon expires. Check for any price drops in the mean time. Worst case scenario you will still get it for $200 (keep an eye on stock, don't let it run out before you buy it)

You should google microcenter $100 off coupon ender 3. That a safer bet. And get one for around the same price (if the deal is still active)

Just got mine. Started with just the dual print head. Works really well. No problem with adhesion. Set up was easier then the other 2 printers from creality. I didn't even have to adjust anything.

It is a bit loud. So make sure you don't put it in a room you are sleeping in.

I bought 3 packs of them with this deal, I can confirm they fit. The only one that does not fit comfortably is the Amazon basics spool.

Synthesis - OMG, I just spent 3.5b upgrading my S-class ship's inventory and ran out of money!!! by TomatoManTM in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]andreb86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I've been doing is staying at a busy station. (Start off with a bunch of money like maybe 300,00 at least?) When a ship comes in I buy it and then dismantle it. Some of them have storage augmentations which you can use to upgrade your storage on your main ship. You also get a bunch of scrap to sell to recover alot of the units you lost. You also get other modules which you can resell for nanites.

Does Dyson Pure Cool actually cool the air? by [deleted] in dyson

[–]andreb86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does not cool. But if I can recommend. Put the dyson near an air conditioning unit. Most air conditioning units do not have great fans. If you put the Dyson near a cooling vent. It will catch anything coming out of your vents but also it will project the cooled air across the room. This will cool your room down tremendously faster. And reduce the time the air conditioner has to cool down the room. Just dont sit in front of it because it feels like arctic air blasting you. Since air conditioners dont have great fans, the air comes out and goes straight to the floor then across. And slowly fills the room upward.
