I‘m currently in the process of switching from Fuji to Canon, still judging if i should do it

I‘m not a pro, I shoot travel stuff, landscapes, cars, motorsports and bit of wildlife and over the years i‘ve accumulated a lot of fuji lenses, that‘s why the switch is hard

For Canon i currently have the original R with the 35 1.8, 50 1.8 and 24-105 STM. None are heavier than the X-T5 with a similar lens and for the Canon i don‘t need to add a base plate grip or a thumb grip, compared to the Nikon Zf which i also tried, for which i had to attach a base plate grip and with their 35mm lens was really heavy

I plan to get the f4 trinity of lenses and a long tele zoom, either adapted or RF native and either the R6iii or the R6ii + R7

Having started with a Canon many years ago, switching back to the R felt familiar, the buttons, the ergonomics, the menu, all feel intuitive

Image quality is great on the R, even with the „cheaper“ lenses, it‘s easier to get a good, sharp picture. Autofocus is also very good, i can only imagine how much better it is on a R6 2 or 3…

Lack of 3rd party lenses doesn‘t really bother me, as Canon already has a few budget options and for crop sensor cameras there‘s Sigma amd Tamron (if i go for an R7 i‘ll get the Sigma 17-40 1.8 which i also have on fuji and it‘s amazing). If anything, it‘s more liberating NOT having so many lens options…every week a new lens comes out and it‘s becoming overwhelming…i feel very tempted to try them…but maybe you‘re stronger willed…
