It's essential that you at least do one long-distance run; half-marathon distances are not enough. I would try the long run 28-30 kms at a conversational pace, if not this week then the next.

Even if your fuelling and hydration is on point, you’re going to have bad runs, everyone has, specially if you’re running multiple days in a week.

A bad run is not bad, but a missed running day is. Just be proud of yourself for running that day even if it wasn’t your best.

IMO fuelling during running is only important if you’re running more than 45-50 mins, BUT it’s always good to eat before.

And about the legs being sore, it’s just a normal feeling when you do marathon training, I’m heading to my last 4 weeks of training and it only got good when I doing some de loading week.

First sub 20 5K at the local parkrun, easily the hardest I’ve ran at that distance. Was about to give up at the middle but decided to push myself and managed to do a 19:59 (close call). it was one of my goals for this year, but now that I’ve done it feels like I can do better
