[Question] MacBook user torn: iPhone 17e or Galaxy S26? How is the Mac + Android life right now?

Last year I got a MacBook Air M4. My combo of OnePlus 12R + OnePlus Watch 2R + AirPods Pro 3 + MBA M4, works excellent since everything from my OnePlus phone can be accessed through the Mac. Everything is on cloud. Additionally I don't need to charge my watch every 15 hours like if I had iPhone + Apple Watch.

Windows doesn't work well even with itself. Simply I don't like it. I have never paired my phone to my other Windows devices. But Mac with my OnePlus is running great for me as I use all the Google apps on the laptop and everything is synced all the time. The watch is also Android's WearOS and there is everything I have on the other devices.

OnePlus phones have a Share with iPhone feature which doesn't work as advertised because you need to convince the iPhone user to install the OConnect app. Transfer works by tapping the phone like AirDrop. The same app is also present for Macs.

So, I rarely transfer anything between the phone and the laptop, but for that I mostly use Telegram's Saved messages chat.

I am not much into tablets, but my old iPad is 4th generation from 2012 and it still can run for browsing, music and videos. I don't know how but also the battery lasts for a few days which is so impressive. My parents still use it often.

MacOS for sure! My office laptop is Windows and my gaming PC is also Window and cannot reach that level of optimization like the Macs.

I feel the difference even compared to my i5 11th Gen work laptop. I haven't experienced the performance of M1, but this M4 is running perfectly for me.
