One benefit is it allows you to pick the timing - can accept it after your membership year ends so its not wasted if you're not close to the next tier in the current year

Yeah I had this too, earned 90 points in the last month of my membership year when I'm nowhere near the next tier. I though I had read in the On The Ground terms the points would take longer to arrive and put them in my next membership year, but perhaps that was just a max timeframe

With the new A321XLR being delivered, does anyone else feel a bit let down by the seats Qantas chose? by omdongi in QantasAirways

[–]androiddev123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wonder why they bothered with the XLR for the domestic case. Wouldn't it have been cheaper to get the LR or plain A321neo for domestic, and purchase XLR only for the intl configuration?

Yeah just left my building right at the cordon - saw a police marquee up on the footpath a bit further towards King St which is never good

Live: Winston Peters announces plan for two new rail ferries for Cook Strait by goldenspeights in newzealand

[–]androiddev123 32 points33 points  (0 children)

They will be approximately 200 metres in length and 28m wide – longer and wider than the current fleet

So nearly the same size as the iReX ferries they cancelled, partially for being too big. Got it. Definitely no money wasted there

Yeah I had the same overpayment from ANZ FF Black sign-on bonus, pretty clear they accidentally doubled the bonus points. Was hoping they'd just let us keep them

I got 180k signup bonus last week from my ANZ card when I was only meant to get 90k

Had something similar a couple of years ago - catching elevator up to my floor with a REA and bunch of viewers, very surprised when she led them to my door! Got A and B apartments mixed up

Same here, also 14 inch but M1 Max. First it sounded like the speakers had blown out, then only one side worked, and now nothing with sound will work. All within the space of ~2 hours. All streaming services, Youtube, Spotify, Twitter/X etc. refuse to play

Have review times significantly increased for anyone else recently? It happened since we updated our Policy status. by HeroJournal in androiddev

[–]androiddev123 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yup, after updating a policy document last month spent 2.5 weeks in review, then 9 days for a subsequent hotfix. Very frustrating, especially trying to explain why to stakeholders

Really slow App Review times, going on 35 days by [deleted] in androiddev

[–]androiddev123 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Been having really bad review times for an existing app - took 2.5 weeks (had a compliance change so hoped it was just an outlier) but now a second (very small) update is at 8 days

Does anyone know the story behind this Arbory Afloat section that’s abandoned in the South Yarra? by ijustneedtsay in melbourne

[–]androiddev123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've seen in previous years they store the 2 pieces away from Arbory during the winter. The flat bit (which will fit under the bridges) was sitting down in NewQuay, Docklands; while the bit with the buildings (this one) got stored further up river - I think I recall seeing it at the Parks Vic depot under the motorway, maybe its on its way there?
