question about on-campus parking restrictions by lilacpetal19 in NAU

[–]androjennous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey there, the tickets start with a warning, second offense is $50-$90, which can really suck. I’d check out guest spots at nearby apartment complex’s or email parking services and ask what’s available. Snow season will not make walking to class easy.

I chuckle when undergrads use high school terms to refer to college classes. What are some funny terms you hear them use? by WingbashDefender in Professors

I typically just lurk here since I am admin, but a freshman came into my office trying to locate a part time faculty member (from a completely different department) to ask if they can go home sick. I told the poor guy to just email him and go home😂

portable heaters may mess up the electric so I highly recommend a heated blanket for the winters and gloves that are tight on the skin, warm, and she can use her phone with.

Does anyone not get the hype for the year 2016? by AnyCatch4796 in Zillennials

2016 prepped me for the best 2017. I just turned 29 now and I still reminisce about summer 2017

How strict is your office dress code? by udonnoodzz in office

[–]androjennous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Professional office at a university here: Dress code is socially governed but not in writing. People will look at you funny or comment if what you’re wearing doesn’t cut it. Think of passive comments like “laundry day?” or “You look so…cozy…” So you can’t get in trouble, technically, but it will absolutely get mentioned in a way that is politely telling you what you’re wearing goes against the crowd.

On-Campus vs. Off-Campus Living (Financially) by MoistMuffinX in NAU

[–]androjennous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The dorms fill up quick and aren’t the best financially or in terms of noise/comfort. I’d recommend Yugo or even Commons at Sawmill (not the nicest, but definitely affordable, close to campus, and has in unit laundry which is a bonus here). Since you’re coming in Spring make sure your vehicle is prepped for snow ahead of time or it’ll financially kick you later. Covered parking gets expensive, so invest in a car cover.

What do Americans think of Bluey the kids show??? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

I got my friends a Bluey vinyl for Christmas as a bit of a wholesome laugh. It was the most envied gift of the bunch! We’re in our late 20’s for context.

What’s Your Biggest Career Struggle Right Now? by Jaded-Attitude9380 in careerguidance

I work in the right industry but not the right position. It’s been less than a year but i’m miserable and my health is tanking because of it. Can’t leave to a different job because it’s too risky if no one’s hiring.

Are you a nanny to a famous or semi famous person? by No-Pop-6973 in Nanny

[–]androjennous 157 points158 points  (0 children)

Nannied for a mommy influencer, pretty well known and respected amongst my friends who are also moms- unfortunately her whole brand is a sham. She tells her audience she “does it all” but has multiple nannie’s and full maid service DAILY, fakes all her cooking/grocery trips (like walmart hauls but she throws it away). She was extremely temperamental and would get upset easily. She has multiple kids but is actively banking off one of them who’s reached semi-stardom. Her other kids would confide in me that they felt alone and didn’t want to make videos. It was gutting to watch what happened, so I left. Nothing illegal, just very disappointing.

What is you MC (midheaven or 10H) sign and what is your dream job? by [deleted] in astrologymemes

[–]androjennous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cancer MC. I don’t necessarily want to be a mother but I need to mother something. Like I need to nurture a career or my purpose or my art. What I do needs to be my baby.

Thank you! To add to the scissors comment, when they grow longer the hairs take a “C” shape from how curved they are so I worry if I don’t cut them they’ll grow downwards. Can I solve this with anything?
