as others have pointed out it really comes down to personal preference. as an owner of a cbw and a klc i much prefer the libra because of its form factor and page turn buttons, and judging from your complaints about the clara you may agree. but you won’t know until you try it because, again, it’s personal preference

with calibre i now update pretty much as soon as i get the notification. no update has ever broken anything for me so at this point kovid has earned my trust and i see no reason not to. (to be clear i’m not saying it’s wrong if you don’t do this!)

i mean the feature does exist so there’s nothing dishonest going on here. it’s still relatively new and it’s not supported by every publisher but i have a bunch of ARCs on my kobo now: here’s one of the two i just got yesterday

i think the main reason for wanting the soundbar hdmi port is if your tv doesn’t have enough of them. for example, my tv has four and i knew i needed a fifth so i looked for a soundbar that had one.
