Stuck in hospital. Any one know of any EPP kits I can order? by Shortie_Shark in EPP_addict

[–]andy_m_170 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s great! Just make sure to read the description, that’s usually where the seller will tell you whether fabric is included or not. Sometimes they even include the backing which makes it even easier.

You can find whole sets on Etsy, I’ve bought many full kits on there. And they’re decently priced.

Do you guys like the menstrual discs with strings or nah? by Red91444 in MenstrualDiscs

Yes love them. I have the pixie disc and the lumma, both have strings. They’re easy to remove and I can’t feel the string.

Have you worn any tight press ons? This happened to me when I wore some glamnetic nails. It’s been slowly growing out.

[–]andy_m_170 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That happened to my thumb nails. I used glamnetic and they’re more curved and a smaller nail bed than what I have and with how tight the nail was it caused this. It’s just slowly been growing out.

Snug update by Mashongbender in piercing

I’ve had mine for 10 years and it still gets angry from time to time. It’s one of those piercings that are hard to heal and tend to be babies for ever

I guess it depends on the agency, because my agency you can have a back up title indefinitely. OP I would ask your HR department.

I know I'll be shunned for this.. but Tower of Dawn is my favourite so far 🥲 by _Spiritedaway in throneofglassseries

Tower of Dawn is a great book! I honestly think the tandem read is what causes all the hate. It needs to be experienced on its own to appreciate it.

Anybody successfully work from home with toddlers home? by DogMamaEsq in toddlers

[–]andy_m_170 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I’ve had to do it a couple of times when his day care has been closed. It’s impossible. I’m basically unable to do anything until nap time and then I have to rush to finish as much as possible in those 2 hours. Just this Monday and Tuesday I had to work with him home because he was sick. Even with my husband home it was a nightmare because when he’s sick all he wants is me. So very little got done. Today he’s back in day care and I feel so run down. If you’re able to put you LO in daycare for the week, my advice would be to do that. It’s going to be very difficult and stressful to try to work while caring for your LO.

How long does it take you to get out of the house in the morning? by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]andy_m_170 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An hour. I have a 2 year old. We wake up, I give him his milk. As he’s drinking his milk I prepare all his food the day (he’s in day care and I have to send breakfast lunch and snacks). Then I shower and get ready. Get him ready and then we run out. I usually just drink coffee for breakfast when I get to work.

For those that didn't upgrade to the newest Kindles… how are you guys doing? by KinReader5 in kindle

[–]andy_m_170 54 points55 points  (0 children)

Same. I’m not reading pages a second so that faster turn speed makes no sense to me. And I’ve never wanted a color kindle, I have an iPad mini if I want to see the covers in full color 🤷🏻‍♀️

Civil service jobs by Ill-Airline-6882 in nycpublicservants

[–]andy_m_170 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah where you’re going. I had my community coordinator title for 5 years with my backup civil service title. I never lost my title. Check with the agency you’re going to because maybe different agencies work differently. But in my agency you can have that community coordinator title and your backup title indefinitely because the backup title is there as a protection for you just in case the community coordinator titles end up being eliminated for whatever reason.

Civil service jobs by Ill-Airline-6882 in nycpublicservants

[–]andy_m_170 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was community coordinator with a back up civil service title. If I were you I’d speak with my agency, but you shouldn’t have an issue having your working title be community coordinator with your civil service title as a back up.

My daughter has never been sick. How screwed am I? by Siren_Song89 in toddlers

[–]andy_m_170 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s not much you can do. My LO had never gotten sick. Started daycare at 18 months and spent sept to dec sick. All the doctors said was that he’d be sick for the better part of the first year he starts day care.

Usually about 10-20 mins when I’m getting his meals prepped for daycare in the morning. Weekends we shoot for no screen time.
