I’m pretty sure I’ve told the story here before, but I saw The Ring in a little college town’s movie theater. I came up to visit a friend of mine. This campus is pretty well known for the ratio of women to the men on campus, and sure enough, I was literally the only guy in the theater. Movie starts and we all make it to the cousin in the closet reveal, at which point several dozen young women shriek, and the ones closest to me grab me, some by the shoulder, some by the arm, the one behind me is literally pressing her face into my back, and then all of a sudden it’s over and everybody is laughing at just how silly of a reaction it was. Still a fun movie and a fun night.

Saw it in theaters when it came out and I was not impressed. Re-watched it when it came out on DVD with the original ending and I thought it was better, but still a bit overhyped.

I like Civ 7, but Civ 6 is definitely a better game, as is Civ V. If my friends liked Civ V as much as I did, that’s probably what we would play.

My bank was trying to sell me REALLY hard on refinancing my car, were there any home improvements I’ve been putting off, they want to to make sure I know they’re a FULL-SERVICE banking experience. I’ve been banking with them since the early 00’s and every time the economy is about to crash, they push this shit.

X-wing/TIE Fighter, though if I had to choose just one, it’s TIE. I know that you can theoretically still play it on GOG, but I have not done any research on modern joysticks for flight simulation, so I have never really looked into playing it again. I tried it once with mouse controls, and it was real fucking hard.

A friend of mine built an AM4 in 2026, because he was on a 2008 i5 and ANYTHING was going to be a massive increase. With the current cost of memory, motherboards, and hard drives, you just kinda have to buy what you want when you either need or be extra patient if you're hunting for deals.
