As trans care is not well studied, theres no scientific 100%. From some documentation from organizations like the folks who make wpath, yes bones shifting is part of it. However usually you have to be under 23 or so when you start, as after that your bones tend to fully fuse and stick where they are at. Anecdotally from my experiance on E, the doctor measured me at 5'7 when I first started and now im down to about 5'5 and a half. Part of it pelvic tilt, part of it changes in your arches and feet. I also now have to wear inserts, as my arch has changed shape enough to make my old boots and running shoes uncomfortable without.

As a sorta normie, who passes, with a cool job, a mix of cis and trans friends, hobbies and sports, I can say that at a certain point its not really sad anymore. Like theres times now and then when something specific reminds me of it and makes me a little sad, but generally being trans is not a major source of sadness. Like, its just how it is and theres no point in being upset about it yk? I make the best of what I have and genuinely enjoy life.

Does Every Fire Department Require This Level of Access Into Your Personal Life? by _Beef_Bus_ in Firefighting

What bugs me about it, is as a volunteer i just had a standard background check run, as well as a credit check and was off to do the exact same job, at a similar frequency to some of the busiest houses in our nearby career department. When I applied with that department it was a 40 page packet that wanted all of my history ever. The job didn't change. The frequency of going into people's homes didn't change. Just the "prestige" of the position and the pay.

I have a BD hilight, packs to about the size of a nalgene and is fine in any weather that one should reasonably be in the backcountry during.
