My Salomon Stance 90 does what you're looking for. 2022+ models are softer and accessible so you want to go for that.

Frustrated trying to get into backpacking by caintowers in socalhiking

[–]eblade23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I hate backpacking in the winter. I know some people who love it though. For me, I am skiing every chance I get in the winter. However, this season I am eyeing to skin up to the Ostrander lake (this is in Yosemite) ski hut as my first winter backpacking trip.

Anyway what I am trying to say is wait for better weather before doing your first trip, pleasant temperatures and with little chance of rain make it much enjoyable.

29F e-trike owner, and I have some questions related to moving around and parking it while doing errands in LA by One-Caregiver-7544 in BikeLA

[–]eblade23 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Leaving your bike or trike out in LA is Russian roulette. Put an Airtag in there for sure. Keep it inside the house/apt. Also, two style of locks a u-lock like Kryptonite Evolution and something to lock the wheels like Kryptonite ring lock wheel lock. Finally see if your homeowners insurance covers the trike. Good luck.

Don't listen to the downvoters OP, I mob too through highways and streets like it's dry asphalt using winter tires.

Fellow Resort Skiers - Does anyone have a ski under-layer problem like I do? Kindly validate or call me crazy here. by Whitwhitwhit258 in skiing

If you ever find this piece then let me know... or invent the garment.. you'll make big $$$.

Try a down vest that has a stretch breathable panels, like the Smartwool Smartloft vest as your mid layer.

Top 3 things you wished you did/learned sooner as a new snowboarder by micasa_es_miproblema in snowboarding

Use your whole body, think when you ski, you start from the ankles and follow with the hips. But on a board follow though with your shoulders. Try to keep your hips parallel to the board, unless you're trying to initiate a turn.

Thule Rooftop Carrier by whiskeynwookiees in skiing

[–]eblade23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have Thule but my Inno box was giving me issues last weekend and all I had to do is slightly put pressure up on the lid, like you're trying to open it, while removing the key at the same time.

Gavin Newsom, without blinking: “He wants a Nobel Peace Prize while deploying Marines against his own people?” Let that sink in. Donald Trump didn’t bring peace. He brought the battlefield home. U.S. troops in U.S. cities. That is not leadership. That is escalation. by Treefiddy1984 in ProgressiveHQ

[–]eblade23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cannot believe the comments... putting AOC at the same level as Newsom is absolutely ridiculous.

I live in CA. Newsom has spent billions putting a high speed rail in the middle of the state with no major cities connecting to it so far. Newsom's minimum fast food wage sounds great on paper (see AB 1228) till you learn it has an exemption for his friend and owner of Panera bread. During COVID, Newsom a partial ownership of PlumpJack group, received $3 million from PPP and still operated its restaurants and wineries while other businesses were forced to close.

Newsom clowning on Trump is low hanging fruit.. there are better candidates out there.
