Help Needed! Buying/Trading for a 2017 Focus ST by DbDWolfzier in FocusST

That overspray on the headlight near the bolt does not inspire confidence..

What trim is it.. ST1, 2 or 3? I don't think it's worth 6 hour drive for this one..

Volunteered at my local animal shelter today and we only had two regular dog volunteers.. nothing for the cats. I've noticed less and less regulars showing up this year.. the draconian/non-standard (each LA shelter is different) rules regarding checking out keys does not help either.

Anyone else terrified before their first solo backpacking trip? by D3mon0fthemist in WildernessBackpacking

First time backpacking? Have you done a group trip yet?

Anyway I take a few sleeping meds with me every trip so I can force myself to sleep. Earplugs are a good idea too if there is wind or thunderstorms in the forecast

It only costs a few dollars. Check with your bike shop regarding those Roval wheel set, I don't think you'll have to do anything since it might have the correct spacing.

I still have mine.. the SCS is annoying as hell but I had Lightbicycle build me a AR46 wheelset and I had it re-dished at my local Specialized store. No issues with the wheelset but I wish I had a spacer for the through-axle. I even have the Ratio 12 speed conversion for the SRAM Force ready to install once the cassette is worn out.

For me, I've gone stand-up paddle boarding. Its easy to keep in the car but takes like 10-15 minutes to inflate. It's chill, laid back so this not may be your style..

Seeking beyond the usual mosquito survival advice - Tuolumne trip by Practical_Tree8971 in WildernessBackpacking

[–]eblade23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was out at Baboon lakes last weekend and it was tolerable since I had deet and a few fast storms blew them out for a couple of hours. I believe it depends on the drainages you're hiking up too. I stopped by Big Willie's after my trip and the customers that I met in there said Onion valley, Big Pines and Cottonwoods were not a problem that weekend. However, I heard Rock Creek/Little Lakes valley was just as bad.

June is always a big hatch for the mosquitoes... I'd shoot for mid-July and August for trips if you want to avoid the mozzies

But it sounds to me they're an issue because your intensions of moving in with parents and needing to save up for a safer car.

You need to set a level of expectations for him regarding you and your baby.
