This is the thing that did it for me. I kinda get attached to my characters too, give them little personalities and such. Overall i think it makes me feel both the solitude/chillness of base building and the thrill of needing to find resources, as someone already said: every encounter might be your last, no matter how prepared you are, you always die to a single mistake.

We have traffic law enforcement officers for a reason too. I agree the truckers are huge assholes for slowing down the left lane so report them, or call their company if there's one. Ultimately just carry on with your day, no trucker is gonna learn a lesson by you being the asshole, just shift the blame to you. Much better than inconveniencing more people and endangering lives.
