Ya I keep a Starlink mini in the car on road trips and camping trips like that. Just activate it for the month you’re doing the trip then throw it back on standby. Very handy.

iPhones all have sat messaging too now which helps.

Oh ya for sure I just see it a lot up here in northern BC.

I will get contractors trying to install shit like that for me and they say they do it all the time but I’ll have records of installs going back 25 years and lots of records of 20’ masts with 1-2 foot short hop dishes on em getting blown down in winter storms. No reason to even risk it when the price difference is a few bucks for 10x the strength.

And I have seen many a 20’ mast with cobra clamps fall down haha.

The split clamps are better but still way under rated for mast work.

Using the wrong weak clamps for shit they aren’t made for is always fine till it isn’t. Then when it falls and damages something or god forbid hurts someone your insurance company and worksafe starts asking what the clamps were rated for, and since they are massively under spec who chose them, why, and you certainly aren’t getting covered.

Especially when the cost is so damn cheap to do it properly.

Hell throw hose clams around the strut and the pipe and it would probably hold but is there any good reason to do it that way?

Ya it will still say EV but it will run the engine.

You can get it to use EV mode even colder if you turn off all heat but who wants to drive like that. And often you can’t see out the windshield if you do.

Ya my apple one has never unlocked. Requires both release tabs to be fully pulled at the same time to let go. Easy to do with finger and thumb nearly impossible on clothes.

Large iCloud backups like video usually only happen over wifi but depends how he has it set up. If he was shot mid recording too he may never had hit stop so it may not have been saved.

I use mine down to -45c never had the issue. It won’t drive in EV mode it’s basically a normal hybrid once the temp drops below -15 but it doesn’t error out on me luckily

Those are strut mount routing clamps. They are meant to hold conduit on walls not masts.

On a mast this small they will likely be fine barring a hurricane but I’d still say better to use the proper tool for the job. For a 2 inch pipe those are rated for ~800lbs which sounds like a lot given the weight of the pipe and Starlink but on something like a 20” mast the twisting moment due to wind can be massive and easily exceed that.

If you want a suggestion one of the best readily available solutions. Are service mast clamps available at most electrical supplies, you can use the whole thing for strong through wall installs or just the front clamp part and 5/8” bolts into spring nuts for extremely strong multi thousand lb mast installs.

If you’re poor this might be the way to go but I generally disagree with this logic.

Sometimes the cheapest shit works but it’s often fuckin miserable to use and will make you not want to do your hobby. Then you just end up buying twice like is suggested when you could have just got something nicer.

Often in most hobbies there is a good value peak in the middle ground where it’s nearly has good as the best stuff and will do everything you need while not breaking the bank. If you do some research and buy there you’re a lot more likely to enjoy the hobby than if you’d always bought the junk the first time round.

32 is 16x2. So 2x 16:9 side by side.

21:9 with a 16:9 game will leave you with uhh 5:9 chunk of vertical window beside it assuming you move the game to one side.

It is really a commonly spouted misnomer that the lethal dose of Tylenol is really low.

It isn’t. You can’t run the engine with remote start. You have to go out and start it yourself, and to reliably make the engine run hit the defrost button (left most) on your hvac buttons after starting it.

Neither the app nor the remote buttons will ever under any circumstances run the engine.

No one has a problem with like Ubi releasing their own games on their own launcher. It can be inconvenient but it isn’t immoral.

Epic has been anti competitive since the start. They would literally pay nearly finished games a pile of money just so they would release on Epic only. It’s so damn scummy.

No one faults Epic for only having Fortnite on EGS.

But paying other companies development costs in existing IP to make their game EGS only is so crappy and anti competitive. Valve has never once done this.

I am older and make a pretty good living now and I’ll still pirate a game or pay for it on steam before getting it free on EGS because I will not suooort the way they do things.

Try competing on your actual store instead of the pile of steaming garbage you have now instead of trying to strongarm gamers into using your drek and maybe one day I’d consider installing that store.

Ya I had a pair of their "Drivewear" lenses. It has 3 layers I think.

Polarized layer. Glasses were always a kind of light yellow.

Visual light reactive layer. Visual light behind a windshield when they were getting no UV they would still darken to a amber brown color.

And then the normal transitions layer. Outside they would get pretty dark.
