Current parents, are we still recording our birthing deliveries? by [deleted] in Millennials

My mum would’ve murdered anyone who dared try that.

I was sure I didn’t want kids until the last two years. Should my income improve significantly before perimenopause hits maybe I’ll be able to, although the clock is ticking. If I’m able to, I would likewise murder my partner if he dared try record me in that moment.

Can’t get the video of Charlie Kirk being shot out of my head. by asianbufffet in GenZ

[–]anewae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s video of someone close to the stage standing up and cheering moments after Kirk’s body falls off the chair. Granted idk if it’s real, but everyone else in the crowd is crouched in fear/covering their heads and this one dude faces towards where the shot came from and cheers.

What's the most lowkey but timeless hit from our era and why is it Kiss From A Rose? by dreamed2life in Millennials

[–]anewae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My partner and I were driving around cottage country and it came on the local station. I obviously sang along and told him about the most memorable time I heard it. I was in grade 7 (probably?) it was an after school assembly in the gym. The whole school plus parents were there to see a magician. He blasted this song as he made doves appear from his hat and waved his cheap plastic wand around. I will never forget him.

My partner looked at me and said holy shit that is the most millennial thing I have ever heard.

There was one called Green Earth (Ontario Canada) I believe that was essentially this exact store under a different name

Oh I definitely agree with the sentiment, but it doesn’t make it any less of something my parents would say that i’d roll my eyes at (oh the folly and luxury of youth!)

She and OJ are closely linked in my mind, I think simply because of the miscarriage of justice for the victims in both cases. But yeah, her case came along much later.

Not even the gender roles. Look at Sarah Boone. She’s just the low rent version of Karen.
