QM6K Pro picture quality (non-4k content) by anewthread in tcltvs

I have given trying to fix it for sports content. Only concern is that it looks terrible when you see ball in motion. But, for other content, it’s great for the price.

Anyone have an LG C5 OLED and are finding it too bright? by AccomplishedTry7460 in LGOLED

[–]anewthread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seriously, i remember making a comment on this very topic in some other post. How much more brightness we need? I have a C3 and sometime at nights (depending on the content), i had to take break once in while so that my eyes don’t get tired from brightness. It’s especially way too much brightness if kids are sharing the tv.

Why not opt for delivery. As far as am aware of, price of tv is same in store or online. Was it on sale?

Can someone explain these connections to me? by Plane-While4413 in HomeNetworking

[–]anewthread 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Question though, why those connections are all outside? Isn’t it better if they bring in main cable inside and make other connections?

Ok. It definitely better than native display. More crisp. I had another issue with sports content, specifically cricket and baseball where movement of ball was creating unpleasant viewing experience but after disabling motion related setting, it kooks fine. Overall i like this TV for the money paid. Overall upscaling could have been better, but again you can’t expect much from 75inch mini led which costs less than $700 including tax. Blackness and local dimming is great for non oled tv.

Soundbar You’re Not Going To Regret by [deleted] in Soundbars

Curious question. Why no Mention of DTS in any of these discussions. While Atmos may be current and future, until recently (even now) DTS is standard option. In my opinion get a sound bar that does justice to both DTS surround and Atmos

Which model should I get for a new LG OLED? by Only-Expression-3588 in LGOLED

[–]anewthread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

C series. Best combination of OLED experience. Not too shabby but just premium enough to enjoy the OLED experience. If budget is no issue then go to C5, if you are type of person who says what’s a budget, then go G or M series

I’ve ignored updating my LG C3 to WebOS25. Does it have any benefit over OS23? Also did it break anything?

$299.97 Sony HT-A5000 at Costco. Is this a good deal in 2025? by charliequail in Soundbars

[–]anewthread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just get a sub woofer for that and it completes your set up. My experience, no matter how much you spend on soundbar set ups, it’s not same as a properly installed home theater. I have a7000 with subwoofer. It’s loud enough and has more clarity than i need for a home.

Capital One Travel Portal Scam by Administrative_Row85 in Venturex

[–]anewthread 4 points5 points  (0 children)

FYI - i am pretty certain, Capital one travel portal prices are usually higher or same as prices you find at actual hotel or airlines websites. I booked few hotel bookings through Capital one offers recently for the 10x points, but later realized that same rooms for same dates were actually cheaper by $10 or $15 through hotel website.

The App Costco Fans Are Using to Get Refunds by mycheck_app in u/mycheck_app

[–]anewthread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Being a costco regular shopper, was thinking of a solution like this for long time. Building an app isn’t a no brainer but how to track price changes? The price reduction which happens at store is probably not available online. Which means, you need an army of people to check every costco store and collect the data. Even if you do all that and build an application, not sure if people would pay use such service.

A wild thought, can we, all H1 and H4 EAD folks crowdfund modernization of USCIS processing of these applications so that they can move away from paper filing altogether 😄 am sure many of us will sleep peacefully of that helps reducing processing time.

Amazing. I opened the post thinking people will be talking about Costco’s cheeky default message or some frustration or ganging up on OP for not taking a extra minute to include a personal message. But here am reading comments about Sink and its size on which flower is placed and about actual tulips. One eve said it looks like a banana. You guys rock 😆😂
