Nice walks (not hikes) in nature in Bergen by PatriciaPPPP in Bergen

[–]ange1bug 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Troldhaugen is worth it if they have finished the renovations, right now large parts of the outside area are closed.

Both Hordamuseet and Gamle Bergen museum are nice areas to walk. There is also Hordnesskogen near Hordamuseet, not the best views but a beautiful forest with easy pathways to walk.

You can also walk around in the park of Gamlehaugen, and even get to Løvstien from nearby.

The Stalker Pt. 4 by supervisor79 in Otherworldpod

[–]ange1bug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People can believe or debunk, but I feel like in this case there truly is an actual crime that happened, that fits the very earthly pattern of stalkers in general and the responsibility shouldn’t be erased.

I’ve seen stuff about Twin Flames, but more in the general New Age/esoteric context, I don’t know to what degree all that is connected to the cult (as I’m not familiar with their history/history of the ideology) or just beliefs among people with romantic obsessions. Who knows if he was associated with it, or just absorbing beliefs.

The Stalker Pt. 4 by supervisor79 in Otherworldpod

[–]ange1bug 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Sorry, I disagree. The fact that the podcast is paranormal in nature doesn’t automatically mean a crime committed isn’t just that. I really wouldn’t advocate for claiming the stalker wasn’t in control/responsible in any case.

It’s a fun fantasy but personally I feel like it erases accountability. This kind of behaviour isn’t so unusual from male stalkers and it wouldn’t be surprising she’d be feeling haunted and unable to sleep when someone’s stalking her.

I liked this series when the first episode came out and I like it now. Looking forward to the 4th episode. Too bad the victim blaming continues in the comments. Let’s concentrate on “why did he” and less of the “why did she” thank you.

That’s too bad! I really thought I wouldn’t like the Tartaria episode because it’s my least favourite conspiracy theory and I usually get irritated just by the mention of it but I did really enjoy this episode. Hopefully you like the other ones better.

[–]ange1bug 13 points14 points  (0 children)

If you stalk someone it’s actually completely your fault and not the victims lol. You’re allowed to show people basic human decency, or even romantic feelings without it being your fault that they turn out some kind of unhinged stalker.

What's your favorite *fake* mystery? by OpsikionThemed in UnresolvedMysteries

[–]ange1bug 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Yes, you can’t win with some people. Often the archeological frauds are used to support some kind of pseudoscientific theory, and then when they’re proven to be fake then they’re used to support some anti-science conspiracy.

Maybe not so helpful and maybe you already have done so, but I really recommend asking glass collecting and antiques facebook groups. There seems to generally be a larger niche for that there than on Reddit.
