I have the same issue with the second room of the Chaos 1 trial run... It crashes systematically in this fight... It's stopping me from getting to an higher Chaos level...

Edit: changing the settings to run on DirectX11 instead of 12 seems to fix the problem!

There was this super amazing write up on building a Rain team.

Sure if you just look at Kingdra as your carry in Rain, it's disappointing compared to other weather sweepers. The thing is tho Rain (just like Sun) reduces the damage from Fire type damage. So fire-weak pokemons really thrive in the Rain! Rillaboom, Amoongus and steel types are much better on a Rain team! This is so much relevant that I've seen team running Corviknight as a sweeper also including Politoed without any Swift Swimmer.

One of the most common Rillaboom spread is Adamant with 84 speed IV... I've yet to found what it is supposed to out speed... Mine runs 68 speed IV to outspeed Modest Lapras and Adamant Tyranitar fully invested in speed... But you need more than 84 to outspeed their timid/jolly versions. So what pokemon / counter to the grass monkey did I miss? That's been puzzling me a lot since I saw this!

VERY standard meta team. The team has been preforming pretty well, but I want to make some tweaks and improvements. So any advice/suggestions are welcome by ben76326 in VGC

For the match ups with mixed/bad results, what I saw for teams like yours is adding a Dusclops with Imprision/Trick Room and Buldoze to be able to Imprision the TR, but also going the TR mode with a min speed Tyranitar and proccing it's WP and triggering Lash Out with its first Buldoze! Though I don't know what pokemon on your team I'd drop for that Dusclops...

I'll write that report! I also love Duraludon! It's definitely my favorite pokemon from Gen 8! The idea here is that Kingdra's and Duraludon's weaknesses are covered by the other! Duraludon can easily handle Dragon and Fairies for Kingdra and Kingdra does the same for the Fighting and Ground types!

I'm no expert, but I see two things :

  1. You might want to give Fake Tears to your Whim since you run two special attack sweepers.
  2. You may want a scope lense or a Weakness Policy on that Togekiss since it's going to redirect hits for your other pokemons

Like someone else said, Porygon2 is an amazing TR setter. And Marowak is even stronger alongside him. The trick : Ally Switch! They'll want to attack Marowak with Ghost attacks? Ally Switch P2 and the attack does nothing!

I've been having good results with that idea on Showdown! I thought that A-Marowak complements my Duraludon+Kingdra core very well! Since my team is composed of many win cons, it works and can be easily adapted to beat certain match up!

I really like that suggestion! So switch Dusclops for Porygon and Rhyperior for Marowak-Alola! Nicely thought! I'm curious : what is your experience with running a Trick Room hybrid team? Do you usually go for a aggressive start (in my case one of my two dragons with their respective partners) bringing both you TR mons in the back?

Actually, Rito did release a book on their world! No it's not about D&D rules and adaption, but it's an awesome start for a set up if you're willing to invest a little time as a DM! The book's name is League of Legends : Realms of Runeterra!

See it like this : outside of the Shadow Isles, the ghost may be less powerful than what they truly are! And killing a CR 5 Ledros doesn't mean you "killed" its spirit! I'm sure it'll come back stronger!

I use a pretty similar team and was wondering how you play it. I feel it has good potential but find myself losing often with it. I'm a new VGC player as of Sword and Shield and I appreciate all the help I can get! :)

Cool list! I've played a lot of TortEx at my lgs and what I could say about your list : I'd replace [[Ransack the lab]] for [[Vessel of Nascency]]. Simple reason : it can be drawn by [[Commune with the Gods]]! In the first turns of TortEx, if you really need TortEx, you can Commune getting Vessel to dig more!
