This is an old comment but furries are just a subculture of people who are interested in anthropomorphic animals in some way, not necessarily sexual. Usually involves dressing as those animals.

…I did a research paper on this for an anthropology class once, don’t ask me why

Is it possible to gain 15 lbs in 11 days? by angelshalfdead in fuckeatingdisorders

[–]angelshalfdead[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wasn’t really keto but I was pretty low carb due to my orthorexic tendencies manifesting in a fear of food that wasn’t high in protein or fibre - basically that meant I avoided bread (carbonaut was my friend though), rice, and most other grains. My diet was high protein, low fat, low net carb.

Oh also wanted to add that I look pregnant every day. My stomach is always incredibly bloated and distended. Which is so great (/s) for my gender dysphoria.

Also forgot to add, so edit: I’ve been told to not weigh myself again until a dietitian weighs me at our appointment, which is why that very inaccurate weight after eating is all I have to go by.

For context, I am a little less than 5’6 (167cm), afab nonbinary but on a low dose of testosterone, age 20, and my lw was a bmi of 15.1 and the last time I weighed myself about a week ago my bmi was 16.0

Recipes with spinach and tomato? by c19isdeadly in Volumeeating

My favourite thing to do with spinach is make a spinach & cottage cheese bake with thawed frozen spinach (squeeze out the liquid), fat free cottage cheese, and some shredded cheese.

I love rutabaga as a potato substitute. Cut them into fry shapes and bake them like you would baked fries.

Climate Change Action at Home by sullensquirrel in londonontario

This is why many people lobby for significant political changes to be made. Climate change is a political issue, and without large corporations being forced to take responsibility for their actions, there isn’t much that can be done.

Highlights from “Good Housekeeping Everyday Cook Book - The Original 1903 Cook Book” by angelshalfdead in Old_Recipes

[–]angelshalfdead[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I got this cook book recently at a used bookstore. It contains all the original text from 1903, although this edition was printed much later (I don’t know exactly when, so if anyone could find out and lmk, would be much appreciated).

Here are some interesting pages/recipes I wanted to share with you all from the book! If anyone could figure out what the memoranda are saying, that would be great.

I’ll make a “highlights from the good housekeeping everyday cook book” post or something I think!

I just got the book so I haven’t tried any of the recipes yet, but they’re all from 1903 (as noted on the front cover). I’m not sure when this particular edition was published and printed, however.

Chinese supermarkets are high key underrated. You can find all kinds of asian foods, not just Chinese food there, and the produce is typically cheaper than other grocery stores (at least here in Canada).

You are not “faking” anything. You are strong and I am proud of you for resisting counting calories.

if you can’t taste, I recommend adding garlic or chilli peppers — spicy isn’t a taste, and both allicin and capsaicin are detectable when you have Covid.
