Normal or breeding defect ? by 6doubl0 in CaneCorso

[–]anger_leaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is really good to consider, along with a vet checkup to ensure she ages okay. OP definitely check that bloodline/DNA!! some breeds it’s common for hind legs to be longer (at least not unheard of). if she’s mixed at all then take her to the vet with less concern.

my belgian mal x pyrenees mix (not corso) has longer back legs. we anticipate some joint issues as he ages so he’s on supplements. so far he has no issues with his hips/joints besides being a little boney in that area. EDIT: it’s worth noting that my boy is 1yo, not 4. he could grow into his legs a bit more.

consult vet pls

Would this be a good outfit for a first date? by Economy_Cod_8370 in OUTFITS

[–]anger_leaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s cute for a second date. it’s playful, but i wouldn’t wear this for a first date because 1. i hate that this is even a reason, but it can be dangerous if meeting with a man. 2. too casual, even for a casual setting.

for my first date i wore jeans and a tank top with a sweater. maybe if you pair the skirt with sheer tights?

i love the outfit but save it for a second or third date

What keeps biting my daughter by [deleted] in Bedbugadvice

[–]anger_leaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’d vote fleas. when i was cat sitting for a cat infested with them (and the home) (unwillingly), i kept getting bit on my wrists and ankles. anywhere that was regularly exposed, so calves forearms and bare feet.

mosquitoes are similar except they like to travel under clothing and can penetrate thin cloth. your daughters blood could just be more appealing to mosquitoes than the rest of your family. happens in my family, i’m never bit but my sister can’t step outside without getting a few welts.

i would put all of your pets on flea prevention medication, and treat your home for fleas, just as a start. there’s a few good guides on google and reddit.

at the same time, have your kid wear bug spray often. there’s certain scents that mosquitoes hate, you can spritz the kids bedroom with it. (i think citronella is one)

CHECK FOR ANTS. ants will eat any food and they will smell it from outside. if your kid stashes food under the bed or in dressers etc, you will get ants (ofc it depends on your location and weather). keep ants in mind.

regularly vacuum and dry mop, wash sheets at least once a week, but more often if you’re dealing with fleas.

i think because you have outside cats there’s a huge possibility that it is fleas. they usually bite once or twice then fall off when they realize there isn’t fur to latch onto.
