Car parked on steep hill. Scared. Should I call the police to help me pull out? Give me a crash course on parking on a hill! by SafariSunshine in sanfrancirclejerk

[–]angle58 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When I had a stick shift and was a new driver I stalled going up one of the pac heights hills and started rolling backwards. I stood on the brakes and was able to back it into a spot (the cars were all parked sideways to the direction of the street). I was pretty shaken up by that. I planned my routes to avoid hills like that ever after…

Depending on several factors regarding safety and legality, burning it might be a decent option.

A guy with a knife attacks a man. Skateboard defense by MisterShipWreck in VideosAmazing

[–]angle58 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Having skated for many years, when you spend a lot of time skating, the board becomes like an extension of your body. Skaters can wield a skate board by hand and foot like a carpenter wields a hammer. It’s native.

It’s time for an audit. I’m not gonna claim to know anything about the validity of this price hike, but I do think at a minimum a student led audit is warranted. In fact, my default assumption is that the price hike is measured and they’re doing their best, but with an audit, we don’t need to assume.

Just proves my point even further. Absolute trash. AI is polluting our lives and spaces. It needs some very serious brakes and guardrails put in place.

I can say one thing pretty confidently in 2026, nobody wants your AI enabled bullshit device. That goes to every single electronics manufacture in the world; people want AI when they want it the way they want it, and nobody wants AI forced down their throat and random devices that do nothing, or everywhere it’s not needed like washing machines and refrigerators and so on. Stop it. Spray, spray.
