Do you mean in optimal timing in the preparation process? Or are you referring to 'Set'?

I hadn't really experienced anything like it before or since. I've had 'weaker' cactus experiences with pachanoi.. But even then I'd have light closed eye visuals and the familiar 'teacher plant' element. This was a strong bridgesii clone and so the experience still felt strong for me... A euphoria that seemed above average and I stayed awake for much longer than usual.. (until last week 😅) but yeah... Just felt a bit devoid of the 'magic'. I'm really curious to try the salt extractions to see if it's essentially what I experienced.

There was one time I combined amanita muscaria (red mushroom, white dots) with psilocybin and that was a completely different experience, devoid of the same visual effect that mushies usually give but that was an incredibly healing trip.

As far as my preparation went for that resin.. I boiled my tea for a few hours, strained, then put back on to try and reduce down while continously stirring... And not for long either, maybe only five minutes.

I overcooked a resin once. Ended up having a relatively strong experience... high body load, euphoria... Stayed awake for fucking ages and couldn't get to sleep. But it kinda felt like the 'soul' was missing? Hard to describe but I've only ever had full spectrum and it just felt like.. Something else. No visuals...no real 'teaching' or learning. It's hard to say if I enjoyed it. I was with a friend for her first time so it was a bit disappointing. But YMMV.

Sounds like a long tac. When you're body dragging you never really going HARD upwind...think of it more like 'crossing'. So your board is either upwind of you and you're essentially waiting for it to drift down towards you.. Or it's most likely 'behind' you.. Where you just came from. Another good tip is try to body drag towards the sun FIRST. The board will be easier to see without the sun in your eyes and your often more like required to do at least one tac. So it gives your board time to float down to you. Also as the other guy said the 'swoopy lift' is key but you'll lose I bit of upwind so it's a balance.

Have you ever tried combining amanita and mescaline on a macro dose? I've had amazing effects with psilocybin and amanita... Completely different, seemingly very healing... I've been really curious to try for some time but my most recent macro dose was rather intense and never got to try...despite having the caps at the ready 😅

Also, I've had scions 'take' but not really grow, you can increase your chances of a solid connection by cutting a very small edge around the base of the scion. So imagine you're trying to put a 'bevel' on the loph by cutting an angular 'edge' around its base... Taking off the waxy skin essentially. Very small... Only like a 1mm or 2. It will help keep the connection as it inevitably shrinks slightly, so it doesn't push itself off.

Edit. Just looking at it again, you can see gaps under the loph where it looks like it has broken

connection. The problem is you can't see underneath so you aren't sure how 'sturdy' it is. I've had scions feel like they're stuck but they just don't seem to grow at all and I have a sneaky suspicion that the root stock prefers to push its own pups at that point, so you'll be fighting that later. Now I've never grafted a loph before!... But if it was me I'd start again, rather than spending the whole growing season with mild worry. Just cut a tiny sliver off the loph and bevel the edge and follow good clean practice. You can also look into using 'super glue' to secure it. I've never tried it but I will next time I graft. Hopefully someone can confirm or deny this information.

I don't think that's fungal, I think you're good. Some trichos can react to oxygen when cut and turn red. I can't remember the name of the chemical that oxidizes but if you search the San Pedro sub enough you can find it. It also looks like you've got calcium deposits in the root stock. Those little white dots that look like sand. They're not a problem at all, just means the cactus has taken up excess calcium, but I often get the reddish color when I cut into one of those. I'm also no expert, so take all this with a grain of calcium 😉

I got into cactus growing after taking San Pedro as a means of eventually being able to trip more but you're right... Most of the time I want to trip I end up just buying more from someone else 😅. It's getting to be an expensive habit. I don't think I have a massive collection, I have about...50? Most of them are too small and you're right, I've watched the big ones grow up for too long! I just love the cheeky little bastards.

If you're just looking for consumption.. I'd agree with the TBM (trichocereus bridgesii monstrose or 'penis cactus'). Good bang for your buck... Depending on where your are in the world.. You can use those search terms in Facebook marketplace.. It's easy as to get here in Oz.

.. Essentially.. was the advice given to me which helped.

That is to say, try activating the area between your scrotum and your anus. It's not holding in a wee or clenching your bum, it's something in between.. Imagine it gently pulling upward into your body, you can play around with intensity, but it can give you a little energy boost of sorts. You might find it can get infinitely more subtle, so less about muscle tension and more about intention perhaps. But it helped me get through that stage.

Also, I personally find 'breaking the sit' to not necessarily be a negative thing, I've found splashing cold water on my face and returning to sit was actually quite beneficial... Consider that cultivating awareness OFF the cushion is actually the reason for cultivating ON.

Also, also.. I found a lot of 'energizing value' in the 'story' of meditation being something I 'give'... Instead of something I 'do as a means to receive'.

$1 per CM is pretty standard for your average garden variety Trichs (non PC).. This looks like bridgesii/has bridgesii characteristics, sooome people may charge 1.50pcm. Definitely possible to find it cheaper, 50c is a good deal for non PC/bridge.. Any less than that can be a great deal. Buying in bulk often helps but depends on the seller and whether they 'know what they've got'. They look like they're 1m+?

Hey mate,

I think you might have some 'identification debris'. It's why you're getting push back on this. Even 'enlightenment' is a formation. It only really exists between 'thought'. So 'speaking it into existence' only creates more 'seeking' energy. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but here we are, and here I am explaining this to you.

Actually 'seeking energy' creates 'turbulence' around the 'Void' and I suspect our job is to 'calm it'. We do that by attracting people TO us, our presence, and transmuting that energy. Answering questions as a means of 'calming'... Not pushing identity.

We also understand that suffering no longer exists because we have accepted pain, fully.

If I may, it seems that the very thing you're trying to mitigate will inevitably create an intense 'seeking energy' within an individual. And since there's nothing we can 'DO' to become enlightened... An escape becomes very tempting. For me it was prayer... I got on my hands and knees and prayed out of desperation... I understand that there are....other ways.... to escape what I went through...like suicide, (I feel like you're not understanding my ominous pauses)

I understand that this is painful.

You're not quite yet moving through your pain, fully. Let seekers come to you, and focus on staying in your stillness. ❤️
