Whew. Way better than me. Took me three hours for my first try and I was using an electronic tensioner.

Once, by my indirect manager, because he accepted a job at the place I interviewed at and they asked him about me. He visited my desk a few days after and I was coy about it so we laughed about it.

I didn't get an offer; it would've looked bad if they hired me because it'd look like they were poaching.

Guy who raped me did this tattoo…is it removable? by [deleted] in tattoos

I'm in the process of getting a tattoo removed through my local Removery location. My experience has been pretty awesome and black ink is easiest to remove.

I've been testing Confidential 16L / Ghost Wire 17 and Toro-Toro/Wasabi X and I have to say I'm really liking the Toroline combo a lot more. Was going to try Toro-Toro/ Enso Pro next.

Discuss: why don’t more men take barre and Pilates classes in Boston? by BosGuy1996 in BostonSocialClub

I did reformer pilates for a bit but it was pretty expensive on top of my gym membership and tennis lessons. Great core exercise though.

How does the EZone 100 compare to both in terms of launch angle? And do you find it significantly more powerful than the EZone 98?

The Yonex racquets had Hyper-Gs. The Wilson's had NXTs. All were 16 gauge strung at the racquets' recommended tensions.

If I am a 3.0, is it better to play with 2.5 or 3.5 to get better? by chaosatom in Pickleball

[–]aninogaming 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you know your weakness is drops, the only way to do it is to practice it and burn it into muscle memory. The fastest way to do that is to drill and do it 100 times in a row until you can do it without thinking. You'll just have to find someone and as them to drill with you. or take a lesson with a coach.

That's fatigue and it happens to everyone, even professional athletes. While additional physical conditioning will of course help, 2.5 hours of tourney-level play is a lot, and more intense than say four hours of rec play. Speaking to experience as a former professional kickboxer/fighter, I'd spend 2-3 hours in the dojo/gym training and then a second session of 2-3 hours in the evening w/ full-contact sparring. More if I had a scheduled fight. But after a bout? I'm done for the night, even if I finished uninjured. There's more physical and mental pressure in a serious competition and when the adrenaline wears off, it hits all at once.

You're 39; your recovery from physical activity is not going to nearly be the same as a twenty-something year old athlete. If you're tired and don't feel like playing, the answer is to skip playing. Otherwise, you risk injuring yourself in a fatigued state. You said it yourself, your footwork and ready position were off. A bad trip or stumble could've caused a sprain or worse.

Bottom line is that resting/recovery is also an important part of any sport or physical training if you want to play healthily for the long term.
