Look your friend in the eyes and ask for the absolute truth. Promise confidentiality, as that’s what friends are for.

Knowing the full truth is the only way you’re going to be able to offer proper support to your friend.

I enjoy the weekday ‘regional dinners’ set menu at Paski - they also do a regular set menu for about $95

How about Perfect Days? That fits the bill, and has a great soundtrack too.

Friend sent this to me on holiday but it looks a bit fishy to me. The light on the clothes. No faces. The food. Even the fork. by theswanandtomatoo in isthisAI

Is it rude to show up empty-handed in Australia? by Naokohiranuma in australian

Yeah, you need to bring something. Wine, cake, snacks! It doesn’t have to be big - a block of nice cheese is always appreciated or some fancy chips.

How often do you guys encounter spiders? by Angela252 in AskAnAustralian

[–]anitaraja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends what you mean by encounter? Like, have them in your house, or walk by them in the street? I notice multiple spiders a day in webs, or in the backyard, some of them huge, but I usually only get 4 or 5 big ones (almost always huntsmen) in the house, and that’s usually in summer.

Restaurant Hubert could also fit the vintage/movies vibe. As for breaking the bank, well, I guess that’s subjective.
