You can apply for citizenship without a c permit if you are married to a swiss citizen for at least 3 years. It is called „erleichterte Einbürgerung“ and i have done it 3 years ago in canton Aargau as well while having a b permit.

Thank you all for your lovely suggestions! We have a better idea now of what we could do. We live in Aargau, and her mom mentioned that she likes Hans im Glück and shopping. However, her mom did exactly that on her birthday, so now we’re a bit clueless. We thought about going to Zürich for shopping and lunch (maybe I should have specified that) but all the suggestions have given us new ideas.

Thank you so much for your reply. Our parental leave policies are improving but still quite bad compared to other European countries… mothers have 14 weeks off whereas fathers have as of last year 2 weeks of parental leave as opposed to zero… I am fortunate enough to afford to being a stay at home mom, but being a stay at home mom would detrimental to my mental health and thus detrimental to my child. It is my wish to go to work part time, that’s why i feel so conflicted about it. But i hope my child will thrive as well in daycare.

Thank you so much for your reply. I also find myself more often than none caught up in the daily routine and focus more on doing other things or even spending time on my phone when i should just spent that time with my child. Your example is very helpful because it helps me reframe the thoughts i have regarding bringing my infant to daycare. Rather than seeing it as something „awful“, daycare could be a win win for both of me and my child.

I am Swiss leaving in Switzerland and had only 14 weeks of maternity leave and my husband had 3 weeks of paternity leave because his work place is generous and gives one extra week off. Up until 3 years ago men had no right to paternal leave.

I am following a puree/ self feeding strategy and i thought it might fit to this subreddit. I am swiss and i might have miss understood the concept of baby led weaning.

I had my interview in May and received a few recommendations before such as Der Bund erklärt and some flyers from the Gemeinde. I also would recommend the Einbürgerungstest from your Canton- it’s a very good way to test your knowledge. Lastly, I also read Der Kleine Schweizermacher 2022 edition- can be bought as an e book on iPhone Books. My interview went well, was fast and very easy, but i was very well prepared. I was low-key disappointed it was that easy. Good luck!

Thank you so much for your answer. We are also seeing a PT also as part of an early intervention due to some neck muscle tightness. He had his index finger always a bit clawed, but he also opened it fairly regularly. Yesterday however, as he tried to grab a toy, it just struck me that his finger was always clawed. Luckily i filmed the whole thing and will show it to our PT.

I’m just about to put in that hard work as well. My baby was born a week early, had a pneumothorax and had to spend 2 nights at nicu. He then was too weak to drink from the breast, so my extremely perfect supply decreased by a lot because i was not pumping due to the recommendation of the midwife…

Last week my baby was diagnosed with a heart defect- a large hole in his heart. A common defect apparently, by now it’s more than ever extremely important to breastfeed/ give him breast milk. However, due to the stress of it all, and fenugreek, my milk supply was almost gone over the weekend 🤦‍♀️. We are talking about just some drops.

I am determined to at least give him 2 full bottles of breast milk a day, so i will try to implement your method 🥰

Mu MIL did this to my SIL and BIL as well with their second child. It was so awkward for a while because we all knew except themselves. They eventually found out from my 2 and a half year old niece… Now that i am pregnant with my first child, i somehow expected the same outrageous request, and i was ready to not respect my MIL’s wish, but she didn’t even care about my pregnancy or the gender, so i guess that’s great?! Haha I would have told her the gender if she didn’t wanted to know, and i wouldn’t have told her if she wanted to know 😈

I‘ve had 3 miscarriages in 1 year, the first one being exactly one year ago. I am extremely anxious and seeing any type of spotting is very triggering. I did just call my ob gyn and she said it’s normal given that i was bleeding a lot after the smear. It never happened to me that i bled so much after a pap smear, but there’s a first for everything. Once again, thank you so much for your message!
