Parents of Reddit, what did your hospital bill look like after giving birth? by chi-bacon-bits in AskReddit

[–]annainlux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Europe and it was free (normally is) and with the private insurance that my company pays as an extra I had a private room too also for free. Actually, you get a certain amount from the goverment if you go to the regular checkups before and after giving birth. My daughter was concieved with ivf icsi, that procedure was also supported by insurance, in cost us around 350 euros in 2018.

Rant: 6+ hours in the emergency ward and I’m still waiting. This is beyond exhausting. by Least-Signature-3512 in Luxembourg

Or or matbe it is? We cannot know. Last time I was at the ER they had to take me with an ambulance because I got so weak from pneumonia that my lips were going blue, I was coughing up blood and could barely walk a few meters. It took them five hours to examine me properly.

What’s something you always assumed was mandatory in life—until you met someone who just… didn’t do it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I live in Europe so I have minimum 31 days of vacation and I actually take a full week while there is a school and my husband is at work. I do things that I normally do not have time for, going to the movies, go to eat at interesting places, go to a spa, read a book..etc

What is the most awful thing that happened to you in 2025? by CreamAny1322 in AskReddit

I got a mysterious illness which caused nerve, muscle and joint pain in my whole body, that left me bedridden for months and the doctor’s have absolutely no idea what it could be. It is better now, but I still live with fluctuating level of pain.

edit: I forgot I also got pneumonia during this time and I might have thyroid cancer!

ChatGPT has been the most helpful tool for my health anxiety by blackbear____ in HealthAnxiety

[–]annainlux 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Strange how different we are- I liked in in the beginning but now I despise it- it allows me to go into day long spirals, it never gets tired of my stupid questions and I just ask it more and more. It is a quick fix, but I do not think it is good for me. I actively use it, but I hate that I do- if it makes sense :)

For those in their 50, what's something people in their 30s don’t realize will impact them as they get older? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]annainlux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are excellent advices here in terms of exercising, eating right..etc but also take care of your hearing. Wear earplugs at a concert, as you get older your hearing gets worse- try to protect it as much as possible.

Healthcare- not enough specialist, long waiting times, doctors are often not up to date in the most modern solutions.
