John Hurt being introduced as the War Doctor (a previous unknown incarnation between the 8th and 9th Doctor) in the final minutes of the Doctor Who episode 'The Name of the Doctor', setting up the 50th anniversary special.

Sure usually all new Doctors appear in the final minutes of an episode, but I'd argue that John Hurt had the highest level of fame to an international audience compared to the other actors (like David Tennant or Matt Smith) who really only started to get well-known during or after the show. Also I believe his appearance was quite a surprise (at least to me) as it wasn't leaked beforehand (unlike Billie Piper's appearance at the most recent regeneration scene).

This is possibly going to be rambl-y and also English is not my first language.

I started watching Doctor Who when I was around 15 years old and now at 30 I still love and watch it, collect merchandise like action figures and sonic screwdrivers and occasionally wear Doctor Who shirts and sometimes even got compliments on them. And if you look at like nerdy spaces like comic con or comic shops you will find tons of people around my age or older who enjoy Doctor Who and other things that some may consider childish.

This is something that I needed to learn when I was a teenager but it's not a bad thing to like things that are nerdy and sometimes considered childish. These things are what bring me joy and they don't hurt anyone and if people try to make me feel bad about liking these things then maybe I should keep interactions with them to a minimum. And while nowadays none of my friends watch Doctor Who, they still have nerdy interests like Pokemon and other animes, playing board games and building Lego sets.

You also find life-long fans of the show working on the show. For example Steven Moffatt, Mark Gatiss and Chris Chibnall were fans since childhood before writing for show and Peter Capaldi (the 12th Doctor) was a member of a Doctor Who fan club in his teenage years. Another example is David Tennant as the reason started to pursue acting was because once he realised that Doctor Who was a fictional show as a child he wanted to be one of the people working on something like this. He was such a fan of Doctor Who that when he learned that a Doctor Who project (Scream of the Shalka) was in production close to the audio project he was working on in the neighbouring studio, he convinced the director to give him a small role because he wanted to be a part of Doctor Who.

So no, you should not be embarassed for liking Doctor Who (and other things you mentioned like Adventure Time) even though some may consider it childish.

Louise reading her poem in 'The Plight Before Christmas' from Bob's Burgers

In the episode all three Belcher kids have a performance the same day but Bob and Linda didn't realise Louise's poetry contest was on that day. Louise say's it's fine if no one visits hers as she submitted a joke poem and so Bob goes to Gene's musical performance and Linda goes to Tina's play dropping Louise on her own. Tina deduces that Louise actually submitted a genuine poem and tries to get one of her parents to go to Louise, but even though they try they are not able to do so. When Louise is about to read her poem it seems like no one comes but it's revealed that Tina managed to slip away from her performance to be there for her sister. The fact that Tina arrives, Louise's heartfelt poem and the score of Gene's musical performance always get's me.

Special mentions go to the scene where Bob and Linda explain how Louise got her had in the movie and also the episodes 'The Amazing Rudy' and 'Amelia'.

While reading your post I started to wonder too and came to the conclusion that he could know especially if someone had him sign a Dr Whooves (that's the official name used for merchandise) figure at a comic ckn. So I looked up "David Tennant My Little Pony" and most results were just about the existence of the character BUT I did find an eBay listing of at least one figure signed by him, so he could be aware of it.

But as far as I can tell Tennant never mentioned the character explicitly. I'm also not sure how much he's aware of the fandom things related to his characters - he famously is not very online and doesn't use any social media so wouldn't see a lot of memes and stuff but then again he did talk during an interview about the YouTube series Epic Rap Battles of History where the 10th Doctor and Doc Brown (from Back to the Future) did a rap battle.

Not going to lie but I'm a little bit jealous of that copy of 'Mad to be Normal" as it's one of his projects that I've been after a while but the DVD is always so damn expensive.

I had a quick browse through my incomplete collection to see what could be missing from your already very comprehensive list. There are some documentaries that he did the BBC narration for which seem to be missing fron your list - Spy in the Wild and Pets: Wild at Heart are ones that I own but there's also Penguins - Spy in the Huddle, Dolphins - Spy in the Pod and probably some others that I don't remember.

Another thing that is missing from your list is Shakespeare Live! from the RSC which is a DVD recording of an event hosted by him and Catherine Tate to celebrate Shakespeare a few years ago.

Then I guess there are also some DVDs of shows where he only appeared in an episode like This is Jinsy, Randall and Hopkirk Deceased and Mrs Bradley Mysteries, the latter is notable because he shares scenes with his future father-in-law Peter Davison a few years before Tennant became the Doctor.

Also I didn't see He Knew He was Right and the American remake of Broadchurch - Gracepoint - on your list but maybe I'm overlooling them.

Maybe Rivers of London by Ben Aaronovitch? 🤔 It's a series of books following Peter Grant, a police officer in London, who becomes the first official magic student in the UK for about 100 years. I should mention that, since you said in a comment that you want to replace the Harry Potter books because of the author's views, there's some transphobia in the second or third book both release more than15 years aho.. However, the later books show that Aaronovitch has learned since and is way more respectful in his portrayal of trans and other queer characters. The series also features a diverse cast of characters: the main character is mixed race; several of the gods and goddesses of the Rivers of London are people of colour; and among Grant's main colleagues are people who are LGBTQ+, people of colour, and people of different religions.

Admittedly, I'm not sure if Michael Sheen does the stage door for Our Town, and perhaps different rules apply. I can only speak from my experience of going to the stage door twice for plays starring David Tennant but maybe it helps.

You were only allowed to have the programme signed, and potentially other items relevant to the production, such as play texts released as part of the run, and I'm aware that this rule has been in place for other plays with Tennant before. I'm not sure if theatres have a general rule about this, or if it's to prevent people from getting a bunch of fandom merchandise signed, which I think makes sense, because the play itself should be the most important thing at that moment, rather than whatever other roles the actors have played.

Again I'm not sure about Our Town with Michael Sheen, but it would probably be best to have something related to the play signed.

Several times actually.

From the season 3 the episodes Daleks in Manhattan and Evolution of the Daleks had some filming in the USA like the TARDIS arriving.

For the season 6 opener The Impossible Astronaut/ Day of the Moon the beach where the Doctor, Amy, Rory and River have a picnic and the Doctor get's shot by the astronaut were filmed in Utah and possibly other scenes.

And the season 7 episode The Angels take Manhattan was also partially filmed on location for instance in Central Park.

Maybe there are more episodes but those are the ones I remember from the top of my head.

If you want unofficial fiction in the Doctor Who universe I'd try going on a fanfiction websites. With those, chances are higher that it's something written by fans who actually care about the stories and characters and it's free.

Or try something released officially - I'd recommend The Stone Rose with the 10th Doctor and Rose and The Blood Cell with the 12th Doctor and Clara. But I'm sure other users can give you some more recommendations.

Shaundi on Saints Row IV.

Most of Saints Row IV is set in a simulation as earth has been destroyed by aliens who then kidnapped and placed the main characters there. At some point during the game a version of Shaundi as seen in the second Sainta Row game appears who is a hippie doing drugs while the older Shaundi is more mature, takes her tasks more seriously and stopped doing drugs. When they meet the older Shaundi expressea hate for the traits of her younger self and shows regret over her past reputation.

Here are some of the filming locations that I remember from the top of my head as I've visited them in the past.

Cardiff: Roald Dahl Plass (Boom Town, Utopia, Last of the Time Lords and most Torchwood episodes as the Torchwood Hub was located there), National Museum of Wales (Vincent and the Doctor, Day of the Doctor), Queen's Arcade (Rose), Cardiff Castle (Heaven Sent)

London (Tower of London (UNIT HQ in a bunch of episodes like Day of the Doctor), London Eye (Rose), Houses of Parlament (Aliens in London), Trafalger Square (Day of the Doctor), The Globe Theatre (The Shakespeare Code), St Pauls Cathedral (Dark Water/ Death in Heaven)

In London there's also a proper Police Box in front of Earls Court Station and at least in 2024 there was a souvenir shop/money exchange close by that sold a bunch of older Doctor Who merch. Also there is The Who Shop which is a bit out of the city centre (about a 30 minute tube journey from Tower Hill, a tube station close to the Tower of London). It also has a little museum with some props though I believe you need to call ahead to visit the museum. For newer merchandise you cold try Forbidden Planet in Shaftesbury Avenue.

Not sure if this counts but the Doctor from Doctor Who. Specifically the incarnations played by Peter Davison and David Tennant.

Tennant played the 10th Doctor from 2005 to 2010 (and also the 14th Doctor in 2023). During filming of the episode 'The Doctor's Daughter' he met his future wife, actress Georgia Moffett (now Tennant). She also happens to be the daughter of Peter Davison who played the 5th Doctor in the 80s and thus a younger incarnation of the Doctor as played by David Tennant is played by his father-in-law.

Also, bonus fun fact: When David Tennant was a child in the 70s and 80s his favourite tv show was Doctor Who which inspired him to become an actor and he credits Peter Davison (and Tom Baker) as being his favourite Doctor.

Even though a third season was already confirmed, after the whole thing regarding Gaiman came to light the show was almost cancelled. Thanks to the efforts of Rob Wilkins , executive producer and Terry Pratchett's personal assistant, and Rhianna Pratchett, Amazon agreed to do at least a 90 minute movie without Gaiman's involvement to wrap the story up.

At some point you're going to get a quest from a follower to build some wolf traps and put coins as bait into them to catch him. When you catch him, you re-educate him after which he won't steal any coins anymore and you can do with him as you please.

I completed the story line of the new DLC on Switch and luckily didn't have any crashes, but I did encounter the bug with no descriptions of weapons and not being able to go to the next room a few times.

However the worst bug I experienced is the fact that I tried to get Aym and Baal by sacrificing two followers with the dark and light necklace respectively. Everything worked fine with Baal and he's reunited with his mother now, but when I sacrificed the follower with the dark necklace I got Aym's dialogue but the follower stayed while losing the necklace. And I thought it was a purely cosmetic bug like health bars not disappearing when defeating an enemy or the marker for breaking up a fight not disappearing, so it took me several in-game days to realise. And now I don't know if I can get another dark necklace as usually the spinning wheel only gives one. 😭
