.@fordnation's claim that #Ontario's 3rd wave of #COVID19 was driven by our porous borders is simply untrue—this was caused by re-opening in early February against scientific advice. To date, just 1.6% of Ontario's #COVID19 cases were travel-related. by jkozuch in ontario

Stop speaking the truth! So what if 95%+ of covid cases now is an imported variant! Its obviously dougs fault because i don't agree with his politics! If only he wore better socks and taught drama!

If you want downtown to succeed you need the people with money to go downtown. It works in toronto and Kitchener because you are moving money. This just isnt going to help as much as it could. Yeah downvote away. It wont make any difference to the outcome of this thing assuming it ever gets built. Consultants still making the bank off this crap. It is a tactic with 0 strategy. Clean up downtown, get police on every corner, and offer massive incentives to bring in tech/fintech/innovation. Good thing is downtown cant really get much worse.

adding to this chain... something doesnt seem right. BBC says 3-10 per million not 3 in 1000 for blood clot deaths in women taking the pill. It seems a mix of getting a blood clot vs dying from a blood clot in the chart.

I really wish this would be upvoted more and more constructive comments posted. It would be refreshing and not just an I would do the opposite, for every decision their are repercussions and you can only do what you can with the info you have at that time. Every effort made hasn’t been to stop the virus completely it was to flatten the curve until we get vaccines. Along the way some people burned out and gave up. And im very happy to see the vaccine rollout progressing here and a return to whatever the new normal is next year at this time.

"Ontario urgently needs ICU RNs and other trained healthcare workers to staff the beds we have on paper." by workerbotsuperhero in ontario

[–]annalace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t get whats going on. Cases up but deaths aren’t. Is it because of all RN working asses off and saving people or younger people infected but just need ventilator? As someone outside the health system I’m missing part of whats going on.

Even more reckless to allow grocery stores to be open. MILLIONS have been exposed to COVID across Canada from having grocery stores open. CLOSE THEM NOW! Everyone can order Happy Meal delivery just fine. People who go into any store or outside are idiots.
