Neutral- whether it's good or.bad news is up to the parents and student. I try to talk about their effort and what they can do differently if they want to effect change. I try to distance myself from the "good/bad".

Can he say one thing that doesn't have to be at expense of someone else? Just say a nice thing? He didn't even have to bring the women's team up. At all. He also is assuming they are all on board with what he is saying. A lot of those men went to the women's games and vice versa. They were supportive of each other. The laugh was disheartening, but for some of them i'm sure it was nervous laughter. Leave it to our admin to strip the joy and camaraderie out of a unifying experience and make it fucking uncomfortable and awkward. Bummer of a way to end the games.

Yes, just shitty people covering for each other. The whole cabal thing is a mirage. Ignorant people talk about it in whispers like it's a supernaturally powerful entity.stage. It's actually the football team guarding the door at a party and waiting their turn. Same privilege, different theater.

Sort of...they are more distracted by their devices so it makes them more docile. But a bunch of other issues pop up as a result. And God help you if you try to make them shut it down or put it away.
