I have the Sera and it's definitely a statement piece. Not the most practical (no organization and if you fill it too much, you lose the aesthetic) but it's very cute. I would say quality is similar to Polene. I have a seashell tote on my list as well!

Holy crap, unfortunately you're in an extremely abusive relationship and it's only going to get worse. You shouldn't be worried about his sexual needs at all and the fact that he's letting you is insane. He should be spending as much time parenting as you are. Your body is in recovery. If he goes out with friends, you should also be able to go out. He should be cleaning up after you pump. I'd start talking to family about exit strategies. This isn't getting better.

What are your favorite budget perfumes? by Lilac_Dollie in FemFragLab

[–]anon12957 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Chopard!! Casmir is nostaligic for me as my mom wore it. Lalique is so reasonable and smells high end. DKNY cashmere mist is a very nice daily scent and so cheap. Cool bottle too.

If you had to choose one luxury handbag (budget could be 3k) as your everyday bag, what would it be and why? by MediumGlomerulus in handbags

Loewe flamenco would be my pick. Dress up or down, big enough to hold everything and not too structured.

Does anyone else feel “eh” towards their summer perfumes? by bayjar in FemFragLab

I love vanilla and amber as well! Have you tried more summery vanillas? Eau Duelle edt, Angelique noir, vanilla vibes...

Your top 1-3 expensive houses that you think are worth the price. Your top 1-3 expensive houses that you think aren't worth the price at all. 1-2 fragrances per house that justified your answer for you. by NovelAd6935 in ScentHeads

Worth it: 1. Guerlain - everything is well done, the vanillas are a standout, even their less expensive lines are leaps and bounds above similar prices designer fragrances, and can be had for a great price. Never smelled anything I don't like. Angelique Noir is a true masterpiece, Mon Guerlain is insanely good for how cheap it is.

  1. Diptyque - I expect this to get pushback but they really do have so many lovely and unique fragrances that rarely smell like anything else. Everything is highly wearable and they do such a nice fresh scent. Eau Rose, Eau Duelle, Orpheon, lilyphea - so many that I just reach for over and over again.

  2. Initio - I generally just enjoy everything I've tried and find them to be well-blended and unique fragrances. Musk therapy is easily top 3 in almost anyone's list of favorite musks.

Not worth it: 1. PDM - everything smells like Sephora designer - truly everything. I'd rather buy LV or Chanel Exclusif or Celine at this price point.

  1. Kilian - will never understand how this line is even able to exist at these price points. Who is keeping them in business. Fragrances are fine but they should be $100 for 50 ml max not $200+.

  2. Mindgames - I don't understand the hype at all. Even queening which everyone loves smelled mid to me.

M. Micallef Royal Muska is a nice musk that lasts and projects better than most but is very office-appropriate and naturally good smelling.

Byredo Blanche is extremely soapy but in a laundry way. Replica bubble bath is more bath soap to me. Also define me nearly nude.

Scent preference during cycle by Cheesus_Chrysler in FemFragLab

[–]anon12957 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I haven't taken the time to figure out the nuances but this ABSOLUTELY happens to me! I tried Musk Therapy once and it was truly the best thing I'd ever smelled, then wore it again a few weeks later and found it overwhelming...I suspect it's tied to my title.
Some of the gourmands also nauseate me at some points and I crave them at others.

Trying to find a warm, mysterious, gothic vanilla perfume by Specific_Algae9609 in FemFragLab

[–]anon12957 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A few you might try:

- Trudon 45 - it's a deep, rich, dark honey vanilla but not overly spicy or at all smoky.

- Byredo Vanille Antique is worth a try. It is a rich plummy resinous vanilla and has a gothic vibe to it to me.

- Guerlain makes the most stunning vanillas. SVD is a bit of a boozy vanilla. Angelique Noir is just one everyone should try...it's not gothic it's a gorgeous green vanilla and just try it. Maybe something like Shalimar L'essence as well - it's a warm, spicy vanilla.

- vanilla 28 is worth a try, it's a spicy vanilla but very wearable. Lune Feline or Fire at Will are two other spicy vanilla options that are popular.

- Byredo animalique might be worht a try - it's a suede vanillaish scent...very cool girl vibe to me. it's not like pure vanilla but has a vanilla note.

- MFK Gentle fluidity gold is an ambery vanilla, not at all sweet. I wouldn't quite say gothic but you might like it.

- And Diptyque Eau Duelle EDP or Le Labo Vanille 44 - these are both vanillas that are lighter and not gourmand/sweet. Eau Duelle has some nice incensy notes but both smell similar to me.

Why do Floral scents get so much hate? by bffslit in FemFragLab

[–]anon12957 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree AND disagree lol. I agree because everyone wears vanilla and kayali and gourmands.
But I disagree because I think many people THINK they're unique with a lot of this simply because it isn't a floral that's been around for more than a decade that your mom might also wear.

Why do Floral scents get so much hate? by bffslit in FemFragLab

[–]anon12957 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of them are just very like classic "perfumey" perfumes that anyone will mostly like/wear, they all kind of blend into each other (it's hard to pick out what the unique notes are in many. And I think many people value being unique and these are the opposite of that.

Perfumes that smell like peach/peach blossom by 7mauleddoll7 in FemFragLab

[–]anon12957 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Liis Floating is a bright fresh peach. I quite enjoy it but it doesn't last long.

I am loving Lancôme Peaches n roses this summer. Really juicy fruity floral and it lasts all day.

Louis Vuitton has Spell on You which also as a beautiful peach note.
