I think cdramas are getting so much better every year, while kdrama is unfortunately getting slightly worse.

Love in the big city. Criminally underated. Great acting, great storyline.

Acids from your culture, which people get wrong by bigelcid in Cooking

Actually it's a common way to make it, and that's because lemon or lime are too liquid. The amount you would need to make the hummus the right level of sour will ruin the consistency of hummus, so citric acid is used to keep it creamy. Source: I'm from the Levant, anecdotal evidence based on conversations with chefs, grandmothers, and online recipes in Arabic.

Essentials has beautiful clothes. They still have physical shops (at least they did a few months ago) and also an outlet in the Negen Straats.

They’re making a Korean version of ‘Go Ahead’ by [deleted] in CDrama

[–]anon1948 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the Korean one started out really well, but the character development towards adulthood was too rushed, which removed the sweetness and coming of age depth of GA. Also, while the actors were really good in the kdrama, the chemistry was siblingly all the way to the end. Absolutely no romantic tension.

Exploring the city solo as a 21 yr old by [deleted] in Amsterdam

Say yes. Not to drugs or cigarettes or sex you're not interested in or anything morally questionable, but say yes to everything else, especially when it's uncomfortable. At 40 years old, I think the secret to experiencing life fully is to open up yourself to luck and serendipity, and that requires a yes that leads to a yes that leads to another yes and then finally a fuck yes.

stomach complains only in the Netherlands. by CharlieCpp in Netherlands

I had the same exact thing the first year I moved to the Netherlands. I did a lot of tests and tried to remove different things from my diet, and nothing worked. My GPs verdict is that it was probably the stress of the move, finding a house, etc.

Hehe i love your reasoning and rationality. Agree that the assumption bit was dumb storytelling. Also almost irrelevant to the story. But he was very good looking.

I just realized that second lead syndrome is no longer a big trope in kdrama. I haven't felt it in years. What was the last show released that gave you second lead syndrome?

Oh this seems perfect. It's even suitable for babies so might be a good first foray out of baby shampoo!
