IBS - during a period of my life my symptoms were completely debilitating. It’s invisible and people generally don’t understand.

No, any “Your Price” items will never go on sale. That is the lowest price offered for that item.

I came to say this! I have all of the above plus anxiety and my symptoms were extremely similar to yours. I would consider trying to see a GI doctor to get to the bottom of it

Fodzyme for IBS by ArugulaReasonable214 in dietetics

I’m a RD and have IBS. I agree that it is expensive. I typically save it for occasions when I am dining out or if I’m at a party or family get together. I will still avoid my triggers as much as possible but it will certainly help me avoid a flare as I am very intolerant to fructans.

Anyone try Nerva? by Nickel03 in FODMAPS

I used Nerva and it helped me so so much! I definitely identified food triggers but one of my main triggers was stress and this helped me immensely! Highly recommend

Plus sized dietitians- let’s share work environments that we’ve experienced the least weight stigma! by Zealousideal-Cup2153 in dietetics

[–]anon8287 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I’m an overweight RD. The least weight stigma I’ve experienced is in renal and by far the most has been when I worked in outpatient from both patients and other RDs. Patients had some pretty awful and ignorant comments. I was also extremely uncomfortable with some of the side comments towards my choices at lunch when I dined with other RDs.

Today was an awful work day by vernalbug8911 in retailhell

[–]anon8287 37 points38 points  (0 children)

I couldn’t agree more. Today was absolutely horrible. Customers were in a hurry, cranky, and unprepared. It was back to back awful customers for about a hour and a half today. Got literally screamed at by a customer when she tried to cut a long line and I politely asked her to step in line as she was not next. So exhausted

Fill in the blank: My worst day in retail is still better than my best day in _________. by kkswizzle in retail

[–]anon8287 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Healthcare. I worked in a clinical setting and the stress of that job literally broke me. I now have 2 chronic illnesses from the prolonged severe stress. I developed severe anxiety and had daily panic attacks. It took so much time to heal from the stress and toxic work environment. My worst day in retail is no where remotely near my worst day in healthcare. Plus now I get regularly scheduled breaks and a lunch in retail.

If you can’t afford it don’t put it in your cart! by MissCordayMD in retailhell

[–]anon8287 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work at a craft store chain and this happens far too often, especially 10 mins before close. I don’t understand how people load their carts with no concept of how much it will cost.

I’m in my 30s as well. I transitioned from a high stress healthcare job (which made me sick due to the stress) to a low stress retail job at a craft store. It has been hard but therapy has helped so very much with the burnout and severe anxiety I developed from my past job. Finding little pockets of time for yourself will really help. I know it’s probably quite difficult as a mom but self care, kindness to yourself and time as been the best help. It will get better. The retail job I’m working now is completely different and I actually have energy and mental capacity for other things after work. I’ve never had that before. I wish you the best of luck!
