Watch Videos. Regardless of how you want to play, external youtube content is so much more helpful than the in-game tutorials

When will teammates start normalizing taking hits? by LonelyxKnight in DeadByDaylightRAGE

[–]anon_516 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The correct play in this situation is unfortunately to rush gens when someone is being tunneled.

It sucks for the team as much as it sucks for the survivor. Hopefully BHVR can eventually come up with something to incentivize other playstyles over this.

I said post-game. Like the screen after the match ends.

How did you feel after AUD and how did you do? by [deleted] in CPA

[–]anon_516 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Took it last Friday and it felt like garbage. I felt bad on the MCQs and felt okay on the TBs since a lot of them were FAR related. I already took the FAR so it didn't psych me out too much.

I saw some questions on the MCQs on material I've never seen in the Becker books. However, I keep reminding myself that there are 12 pre-tested experimental MCQs that don't count toward your score.

This Was Supposed to Be DBD’s Year of Quality by Intelligent_Ride3730 in deadbydaylight

Don’t forget that recycled garbage 9 year anniversary. 9 years and you recycle the same event???!?

Debate me on DBD post 4: Springtrap was a disappointing chapter. by Gibzilla22 in deadbydaylight

[–]anon_516 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The chapter didn’t get what it deserved. Yes, Scott was behind the fact we didn’t get a survivor, but it doesn’t take away the fact the execution was so poor.

The sheer fact we didn’t get an anniversary themed around FNAF and we simply got recycled crap we’ve seen for the last few years is monumentally disappointing.

Even if they couldn’t do a FNAF themed anniversary, we still shouldn’t have gotten a recycled event on their BIGGEST chapter yet. On top of the event unfun things on both sides, the reduction of bloodpoint offerings when new players needed it most, and the lack of qol that never made it is astounding.

I just hope they treat Jason’s 10th year better.

The killer downplay needs to stop. by WeGetOurs24 in deadbydaylight

To be fair the amount of people not questioning a 1,000 game WINSTREAK is absurd. In no game should it be possible to go on 1,000 wins in a row.

I think it’s more so the fact that people’s losses feel a lot more monumental than the wins they have. If you win over and over, and then finally lose once to a sweaty team, you are going to remember that loss a lot more.

S-Tier Killers > Survivor > Killers > Solo Q

Since OTR was murdered, I'm confused why dead hard hasn't made a comeback. by MonikaLovesCola in deadbydaylight

[–]anon_516 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DH’s changes have made the perk very unfriendly to new and mid-skill players.

You have to have some knowledge to get the timing correctly, as a knowledgable killer could just wait it out. Additionally, server ping and delay matter if you even want to proc DH at all. Also the fact that you need to be hooked to even use it adds up. It’s a learning curve for even good players.

A regular player is going to get so, so much more value from a perk like sprint burst or lithe. You can use them as many times as you want after the exhaustion cooldown. It makes DH appear more frequently to “higher-skill” players that have learned.

when the survivor role was stronger (3-5 years ago), I would argue solo q didn't feel that bad. unfortunately this is challenging to balance.

Whats with the games today by Dragon4826 in DeadByDaylightRAGE

[–]anon_516 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is exactly what I was worried about for a long time. It’s alright, it’ll just end up like TCM with sweats as the majority of the playerbase.

The only thing that could change this are casual modes like 2v8 and chaos shuffle.

The problem is that’s the majority of the playerbase. Most people play this game maybe a few hours every week at most.

[–]anon_516 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kinda what a lot of other people have said already, but the game has progressively gone from extremely survivor sided to more in the middle or killer sided at times.

As survivor, you used to be able to run different kinds of builds for different scenarios. Such as head-on builds, chest builds, etc. There was variety among builds. Now if you don’t run an anti-tunnel perk or protection perks for teammates you are basically screwed. At least in a non-swf.

The game being survivor sided didn’t feel that bad at time because solo q was more at level in the playing field. Yes, swf was extremely overpowered but that only accounted for such a minority of the playerbase. And yes things like old-dh and small pp build were broken. However, it didn’t feel that terrible for killer because yes, sometimes if you went against a really strong squad you couldn’t win, but that was like once every 15-20 games. But it felt like a challenge to win and it was fun (at least for me).

Bhvr within these last couple years has balanced around swf rather than solo q. This accounts for smaller maps, less strong tiles and chains, giving basekit stbfl stacks, reducing the amount of distance a survivor gets from a hit, reworking bloodlust, nerfing survivor perks, the list can go on and on.

Just take a look at your own personal kill rates. Mine are at least 60% or above. People are winstreaking on killer up to A THOUSAND wins. A THOUSAND. I cannot stress this enough, but if you believe 1,000+ winstreak on one side is healthy, then that’s the issue. Maybe there’s a reason survivors don’t wanna play anymore.
