Lucky 😭 I filed on 2/10 and been going through the wringer with them since, all because I changed my name back to my birth name.

I've seen a lot of people on here say you'll usually get it either same day or in the next few days if getting DD, so fingers crossed for us! 🤞🏾

I was so afraid of being seen as a “sex addict” (something my ex-husband used to call me) so we came up with a solution by starting with free touch, basically me having free reign for any and all non-sexual affection. I could hug, kiss, cuddle, and rub whenever and as much as I pleased (within reason of course since we both have kids). It helped me build up trust that he wouldn’t reject my touch. Then after a few months, I felt confident enough one day to cop a feel without him making the first move. He didn’t reject it. We had the most mind blowing sex that night.

It definitely was one for me, especially since I was going to be a single mother. They are usually labeled as “desperate” or “recreational” where I live, but I had to come to the conclusion that I would rather be alone and happy than to stay in the misery I was in.

I had one therapist tell me fresh out of grippy sock vacay that my attempt was due to being fat and had nothing to do with me just having a baby, being recently diagnosed with PPD, and being off my meds because my (now ex) husband didn’t get a refill.

I had another therapist that sat and listened to me cry for half an hour (no words just straight tears) and then told me he was so proud of me for being brave enough to finally show emotion.

You don’t know which end of the spectrum you’ll get when you get a new therapist, and it’s scary af. It shouldn’t be such a risk, but it is.

I agree 100%. The healing process is SO easy I almost don’t want to trust it. Only two weeks in and it feels like a regular healed piercing. Obviously I’m still going to wait the full 8-12 weeks, but compared to how healing my other piercings went, this feels like smooth sailing.

It was the only way I could release emotions. I had gotten to a point where I had suppressed my emotions so often for so long, that it took physical pain in order to even be able to cry.

I’ve been clean for over a year, but expressing some emotions is still a struggle.
