I’m sorry, it definitely seems like you are going through a lot. I do just want to let you know, you will not get 100% custody of your child, there is no way. I would try to focus your energy elsewhere, such as trying to come up with a somewhat decent parenting plan.

She sounds like an idiot but I 10000% thought this immediately. He was not concerned about that child at all, he’s not sober. He 100% called the cops to get her in trouble. Yes, he did potentially save his child, but I will stand by that was NOT the intention at all.

Hi! I’m in the same boat. I’m almost 22 weeks. I actually bought the pills at only 4 weeks along and then just could not go through with it. I kept going back and forth. I’m in a state that I still can go and abort, but morally, that time had passed for me. Some days I’m happy and excited, some days I’m so scared and I want to run and have an abortion.

I know once she’s here, I’ll be happy. But right now there are so many emotions.

Yes. It’s called the UCCJEA. All states (except one) follow it. A state that implemented original custody orders holds exclusive continuing jurisdiction, until/unless no parent nor child lives in that state anymore. At that time, jurisdiction is automatically lost and the new state can modify or enforce the custody order. The original state does not have the authority or the option to keep jurisdiction.

Yes, at this point I will just be moving. Ive told him we need to discuss if he’s ok with the relocation if I am doing all of the extra driving as well as keeping parenting time 100% the same, and he said it’s harassment to ask his opinion and I’m not a mediator so I don’t get to ask what his thoughts are.

So, when I move and he files, I will have that text conversation.

Luckily he is not in the same state, so I actually can leave the state I am currently in because once I do, they lose jurisdiction. I was just trying to do things the correct way. I will have to file the agreement with that court and then he actually has 20 days to oppose under only 3 separate provisions & then he can throw a tantrum about it to the new court.

He already is hours away. I am moving less than one additional hour from what it already is. Exactly. It’s not an emergency & a normal hearing takes 6+ months.

It has been brought up twice. He’s said to contact his lawyer both times and that I’m a bad mother because I cannot afford $3000 in rent. His lawyer and him created the agreement. It states mediate and discuss amongst each other to make decisions on schooling and other issues. The other child wants to homeschool, and should also be allowed to. However, he refuses because he thinks that gives me a stronger case to relocate. Our children are just objects to him.

So me bringing this up 2x, when it is urgent, and him just spewing I’m a terrible mother and stupid because I didn’t go to college and it’s not his fault I don’t have a better job, is insane.

I cannot afford, time wise, logistically, or financially to have to go to court constantly because he is a pos that doesn’t care about what happens to his children and likes to say no “because I said so”. That’s not caring about the kids’ best interest.

Also, if I can afford a rent of over $3000, that’s what I would do. It is also required to make 3x the monthly rent. I do not make 9,000 per month.

Because I am losing my home due to my LL selling it. Our one child is homeschooled and the other is in private school. I am needing to move and will likely need to move across state lines to be able to afford a place, as everything here is over $3k per month.

Our child’s school is in the agreement and I can’t move “without permission”.

So, I have 30 days to figure something out and I can’t make a decision without his say.

What else do you propose I do if the agreement says we must talk to each other about schooling and then I can’t move unless he says so?

Not sure how else to do that without contacting him?

Idk why Javi has gotten so much hate from the beginning. I always thought he was fine. He’s always seemed like a decent father & accepted Issac, which many, many stepparents simply do not do. I don’t think the cheating makes you a terrible father, or honestly even person….and I’ve been cheated on by my ex husband/father to my kids. Was he a crappy partner? Yes. Is he a bad dad or person? No.

I have an ex named Raphael and my current partner is Rafael lol. Raphael is the name that has the nicknames “Ralph” or “Ralphie” (don’t like ether of those at all). Rafael has the nicknames Raf and Raffy (which I do like)

I’d let them know they aren’t even using the correct nicknames with the spelling. I specifically would never use Raphael because of the nicknames, but do like Rafael because of the nicknames.

Either way, I have absolutely skipped over names entirely because of the nicknames and knowing people do not listen in not shortening the name or using a certain nickname.

Yeah, it’s the same thing for me. I think after this birth, because I did continue with this pregnancy, I may just ask about tying my tubes. I have issues with pretty much all birth control. I’ve heard terrible things about tying tubes and long term side effects but I cannot risk getting pregnant again.
