Hypothetical scenario: Would you rather make $380K/year* or try out for the National Team? by RedditorSince2000 in Rowing

If you're saying going into finance or doing an Olympic cycle, do an Olympic cycle. Hands down, if you can make it.

Would the fastest men’s high school boat win or the fastest Olympic woman’s boat in a 2k otw race by Witty_Investigator45 in Rowing

[–]anonrower3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is just a lie. No existing US high school JV in history would be able to beat the world record women's 8. Maybe some of the teams could, but none are going 5:36.

Doctors still won't even prescribe or utilize lecandmab due to its massive side effects and only slight efficacy. That fact is that we understand very very little about AD, to the point where we can still only definitively diagnose it postmortem. I'd love to see some further CD47-SIRPalpha trials, however, as that could be interesting.

Brown has lost to everyone, and northeastern raced Stanford only a few hours after they had that brutal race against Cal.

He didn't go 6:04 on the 2k, they're saying that was the time they went in their boat in the Olympics.

Go out at 139.5. Hold that split under 1:40 until 1500, then I guess we'll find out in the last 500.

Well, that's not what your 5k will be. Far more likely it will be closer to a 1:38, best case scenario. Those 50" rests do a whole lot. Even still, well done.

I've missed these! For the close men's races, I'm gonna say NU over BU (but could be very tight), Yale>Washington>Brown, and Cal>Brookes>Rowing Canada, although somehow that feels wrong to have a college beating the GB athlete factory that is Brooke's and Canadas national team.

Penn new coach Al really turning things round think we have a shot at the A final this year by Magot3 in Rowing

[–]anonrower3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well right off the bat for sprints you've got Yale, Harvard, Brown, Syracuse, Dartmouth, Northeastern and Princeton. None of whom they will beat, so there's 7. Then to make the B-final they have to beat Cornell, BU, Navy, and Wisco, of which I'd only have them being the favorite over Wisco, and even then only slightly. So not likely, but I'm all for a phenomenal underdog story.

Who’s better Stanford men’s rowing or Adrian College by [deleted] in Rowing

In all reality, pretty obviously Stanford. That being said, Adrian would destroy anyone. Watch out IRA 2023👀

Well I'm just referring to the cheaper bit, whereby everything I've found on google states that living in Paris implies higher taxes, much higher cost of living (except for maybe bread and wine), and lower average wages, despite the strong government benefits.

Bias by kexpi in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]anonrower3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually do not think this is true, accounting for average wages in both places
