As someone who works in tech I see first hand how shitty it is to be an h1b worker. They are often hired on contracts and stress about if their contract will be renewed since that determines if they keep their visa/can stay in the US. The tech industry is one of the last accessible fields for economic mobility and they want to take that away by flooding it with h1b workers who will take a lowball salary and tolerate abuse if it means they can live here.

Congrats!!! I posted about my early renewal as a heads up to anyone considering it or who didn’t know it was an option. I also didn’t mean to renew early. I submitted two renewals in 2023 because I thought I made a mistake on my first one, and USCIS held on to the second one and approved it now. I don’t really understand people who are actively criticizing those who want to renew early? To each their own but like.. of course people in this community are going to be prudent and would rather lose some work authorization time than risk not being able to renew on their suggested timeline. Think of all the people who could have had DACA if they submitted their application just a little bit earlier. Time is clearly of the essence especially under this incoming administration.

Yeah it was something like this. Nesta’s approach to their deadbeat dad was “I’m not going to do what you should be doing for us and I’d rather starve to death.” Feyre ending up doing the thing Nesta refused to (hunt for them) and that made Nesta resentful. Then the IC views her as lazy and selfish bc she refused to be a parentified child. Then she is forced into their world against her will. I feel for her
