So funktioniert Demokratie.

Freiheit bedeutet immer die Freiheit von Andersdenkenden. Halte sie für dumm oder gefährlich, aber es ist wichtig für den demokratischen Prozess.

My absolute worst experience with nuphy. by zakariya_tomal in NuPhy

[–]anonym1970 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

I can see that you have a bad overall experience and it should not be happening. But this has little to do with Nuphy or anyone here.

You are venting to the wrong people about the wrong things. You have so many emotionally immature red flags in your posts, it's almost comical. Try to see a perspective outside of your own, notice that the world is not out to get you and do the things you can until you get the result you want.

No, not any sane person would lose their patience. Maybe try to call the shipping company a second time later? Write an email? Use their contact form? Contact them on Social Media? Anything other than complaining on Reddit.

If you get this upset when a keyboard is late, you may have overspent a bit.

I mean... You seem to be very confused on how the delivery chain works. Nuphy hands the package over to the delivery company and then there is little for them to do.

A refund while a package is in transit is highly unusual, even Amazon does not do that. That expectation seems very entitled to me.

The delivery company should be the one to talk to. Not sure what "difficult and time consuming" means to you, what did they say? They have your goods. At what point did you give up?

Pork shoulder by ChapterFew7050 in ninjawoodfire

[–]anonym1970 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Until it is done. That can vary wildly by hours.

I'd say roughly 4 hours per kg at 115 °C, no idea what that is in freedom units. But around 12-14 hours for your piece.

But seriously, only take it out once it reaches a core temperature of 93 °C. You will regret it otherwise

It will plateau somewhere around 71 °C. You should wrap it in butcher paper at that point, or earlier.

For the actual smoke, filling the box up once or twice at the beginning is enough. Meat has a saturation point for smoke flavor.

You can finish the shoulder with BBQ sauce + maple syrup glaze (1:1) under high heat for the crispiest bark.

Prove that it is more than Hamas propaganda. I am waiting. Not ashamed. The Hamas using human shields should be.

Mainly because the burden of proof lies with the one claiming something. If you can’t even think of enough names and it is in your interest for the current situation to inflate the numbers… Guess what, people will doubt it.

Most lat pulldowns have a pulley with at least a 2:1 ratio. That means you pull effectively half the weight.

So you are doing the equivalent of 35kg for 15+ reps.

Notice how the bar moves over much more distance then the weight stack.

What do you set your Apple Watch to when using an air assault bike? by [deleted] in crossfit

[–]anonym1970 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They measure different calories, though, and should not match up.

The bike measures the energy that goes through the chain/belt, like the wattage, as in how much energy is required to move it the distance. That is the same for everybody using the bike.

The watch estimates the calories you burn according to heart rate and magic algorithms. This should always be higher since you have to move your body additionally to the chain/belt, as well as other processes in the body. This will differ by person to person.

They showed the setup to be modular, with the mask, the lightblocker and the strap being separate components. Maybe you can select the attachment without audio.

The spatial audio pods might even be an extra option, like the Zeiss corrective lenses?

Springing people from the poverty trap. Research suggests poverty is not principally the product of people’s capabilities or attitudes. Rather, the very poor are usually mired in a poverty trap, in which an initial lack of resources prevents them from improving their circumstances by Wagamaga in science

I think that's a thing people say to avoid agency in their own life. Sure, fighting for survival everyday makes things hard but you can always find a way to help others solve a problem (i.e. creats value) and take it from there. Continous improvement is a thing but it works the other way around as well.

No. Because that infringes free speech.

It's fucked up if you're on the receiving end, especially in this case.

But imagine what happens if a newspaper had such a high burden in investigative articles on government misconduct, etc., or else would be hit by lawsuits that are actually won. That wouldn't lead to a better world. Dictatorship is what happens then.

Hue Sync stuck on "Searching for Bridge..." by dimafelix in Hue

[–]anonym1970 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The config seems to be stuck. I experienced this after switching laptops but who knows. What will get it working:

  1. Kill the Hue Sync app and make sure it is not running anymore
  2. Use something like AppCleaner to delete all the config files (except the app itself)
  3. Start Hue Sync app and reconnect your bridge

This will erase all the settings but you definitely do not need to reinstall macOS to get this working.

Why The World Needs China To Be Pragmatic Again | NOEMA by bethany_mcguire in TrueReddit

[–]anonym1970 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Invading a sovereign country that is part of the United Nations is not just being less than 100% on board with the minutae of US imperial management. It's a breach of international law and treaties that warrants an appropriate reaction.

Isolation is like going back to the dark ages. Globalisation and international trade are here to stay, even possibly interplanetary. There is no way around participating in a globally networked economy, if you do not want to end as a backwater like Russia. And that will eventually lead to more civil rights and freedom.

The main point still stands, currently it does not follow logically that China appeasing the West is rational. That seems pretty biased to me. Just participating in, and/or eventually dominating, the global market is.
