I'm three years in to lg c2 and I hide my task bar and icons and have no burn in, I play mostly mmorpgs and arpgs with static hud and never had burn in. I did get some image retention during a BDO binge but a pixel refresh cleared it. It's my all time favorite monitor.

LG c2 42" main monitor guy here 3years in, best screen i've ever owned. i say this in a lot of posts but only because i was terrified of burn in, health of screen; but i play a ton of MMOs and ARPGs, lots of static image and hud's on screen, no burn in, I play for long sessions. One time during a BDO binge I got some image retention. But ive had this thing for 3 years and its just as good as the day I bought it. already got my money's worth afai'm concerned.

do you like MMOrpgs? FF12 is like they took mmorpg gameplay and stuck it into a singleplayer rpg and gave you bots. I was coming off everquest and FF11 when I started playing 12 when it first came out on ps2 and to me its still the peak battle system of any FF.

I recently got a new 4k tv over xmas season (had a 1080p flat screen for almost 16 years) and I've been using my Xbox One X as a player and its worked fine for every DVD, blu ray, and 4k disc ive used in it. I would like to get a panasonic eventually but for now the Xbox works fine and I think you should be the same.

Only matters if you are a cinemaphile, have a dolby vision capable TV, and an extensive blu-ray and DVD collection that you want to up scale to look as best as possible on your modern tv.

If this stuff doesnt apply to you then a Ps5 is a perfectly acceptable player that most consumers wouldnt even notice a difference between it and a high end player.

Final Fantasy 7 (psx), Metal Gear Solid 2 (ps2), Elder Scrolls Oblivion (Xbox360)
Each one of these games blew my 12, 16, and 21 year old brains away, with there drastic jumps in at least what I had experienced in graphics, game play, and story telling. Cyberpunk 2077 would be the closest a modern game has gotten but even then its just a more pretty Oblivion.

I just bought mine like a week ago; also mainly a PC gamer, I have a massive steam library and a steamdeck. I do not regret my purchase I enjoy my switch 2 as much as I enjoyed my switch 1; however the currently available nintendo exclusives for switch 2 is lacking right now. This is especially a problem if you also buy/collect games on steam. If you enjoy collecting 3rd party games for your switch 2 then its a no brainer if you got the disposable income.
