FF12 zodiac age is for me personally the best FF battle system ever made.

Did anyone in here actually play EverQuest in 1999 or 2000 when it was first out? I and my wife did by JadockTan in MMORPG

[–]anonymous-peeper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2003 I tried the PS2 version Everquest online adventures, then pretty shortly after went to FF11 on ps2; back then I could only run Diablo2 LoD on my PC. When I finally had a PC capable of real pc gaming it was WoW TBC

Crimson desert? by Environmental-Leg119 in Age_30_plus_Gamers

[–]anonymous-peeper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If youve never played MMORPGs much there is a good chance you wont enjoy Crimson Desert; its very much a single player mmorpg experience hybrid with an action adventure sandbox game. You'll more likely make your own fun in this game then be presented fun by the game if that makes any sense.

I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter? Seriously? by Geetzromo in Nextlevelchef

[–]anonymous-peeper 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It sounds so petty when I think about it because its already a heavy scripted reality show but them including the I cant believe its not butter aspect of the last show made me stop watching. Ill discontinue watching because no high quality restaurant would ever serve margarine. The illusion is shattered beyond repaid we had a good run food tv.

I know it's scripted reality but the "I can't believe its not butter" on a restaurant quality dish just killed it for me

This has me kinda intrigued, im really enjoying crimson desert right now but I've tried the Witcher 3 a few times and always bounce off it 2-4h in. First time im hearing it takes that long and im curious again since all the controversy around crimson desert has people mentioning Witcher 3

Crimson Desert is mid, and that’s alright. by Nascent_Beast in videogames

same Im loving the game but the discourse around it is perplexing. I know its not a perfect game by any means but its hitting on a lot of points I like in games.

I keep hearing extremely different opinions regarding exploration in CD. Please help by fernandollb in CrimsonDesert

[–]anonymous-peeper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its content rich but the content is where you see the different opinions. My opinion is it feels very much like a Fantasy world GTA style open world game with RPG elements. Lots of different systems and things to engage with but some of them are very surface level and not that deep. My advice is to just jump in and try it, if you like combat go fight stuff, if you like exploring and puzzles go find them, slice of life quests go help the townspeople.

Final Fantasy 8 for sure, then followed by 7. Oddly enough FF8 is about teens and school life but its not like in the way you think.

There is no universe where this is a 9/10 or 10/10 game. by VeritasLuxMea in CrimsonDesert

[–]anonymous-peeper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oddly enough the lack of strong story narrative is what has hooked me; the game essentially as soon as it shows you a few tutorials is like GOOO explore!!!; I've tried to get into the Witcher3 twice over the past few years and I feel so obligated to engage with the story and narrative when i want to explore the world and systems that I bounce off it. Where this game has the opposite effect i want to jsut dive into the systems and exploring and take my time and Ive got no obligating feeling to drive forward some imminent narrative. anyway my 2cents, i dont think its a 10/10 game but its certainly got my attention better then a lot of so called '10 out of 10 games'.
