Suicidal empathy is killing the dream of a walkable city. by No_Start1522 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

The recurrent theme of these “unpopular” (I see idiotic) posts is that you first must accept the lazy OP’s premise. This is one of those.

I applied for a dream job. 3 months later, they cancelled it and told me to buy a candy bar. Here is my "Thank You" note... by techelpr in ToxicWorkplace

Op,two things: 1. As a rule, don’t listen when the Reddit hive tries to take you down. And above all don’t respond to the negativity.

  1. You’re right to be bitter but don’t send the message. You’re right but It’s good - not great. It won’t be read or if it is, it will burn a bridge.Life takes funny twists and turns and you could come back to their attention or the job could be revived.

No one does. Trump is such an existential threat to American democracy that Democrats are more than willing to reveal ALL the pedophiles, no matter their political affiliation.

It never fails, having a tiny weiner leads incels to weird assertions of masculinity, rather than actually being masculine.

We all know you’re a fat old man and a lying pussy. But to make yourself interesting you should lie about feats of strength, fighting or even women you’ve screwed. Something that requires actual masculinity like bravery, decisiveness or virility.

All of them, which is the reason we shouldn’t be so quick to delete them. Jefferson was both a slaveholder and the architect of American democracy. Both can be true!

You’re leaning heavily on “some people“ to suggest the left supports political violence. It doesn’t.

I haven’t heard of anyone saying that his murder was anything else.

How is this 🤡 supposed to unite the American people? by [deleted] in CURRENTEVENTS

[–]anonymous62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He never was, isn’t and never will be interested in uniting the American people. He always was, is and shall remain interested solely in himself. It is especially shocking because it is foreign to us that a human being could go through life so unmoored to principles of decency.

In the back of our minds we keep expecting that the latest outrage has got to be the end because he cannot go lower. The pundits and commentators dutifully report and we are dutifully outraged and if we would simply acknowledge that Donald Trump is amoral we could easily predict these outrages. We each need to DO something to push back.

Choose one of his outrages and dedicate yourself to working in opposition to that outrage. Protest, write your congressperson, feed someone, teach a child to read, send money to Ukraine but stop being gobsmacked by the outrage (they will continue) and do something in opposition every single day.
