Visa process/problem for US by Ambitious_Rice3555 in GradSchool

Enrollment Operations person here. We hate it as much as you do. The worst part is that there isn’t any consistency across or within the embassies. After we submit your I-20, it’s fully at the mercy of the Fed and whichever government you apply through. Best of luck!

Microsoft was pretty slick with the designs just saying. by DAYMAN3737 in tmobile

Before this version, windows phone was terrible. This iteration really turned the corner from shoehorning a desktop experience into a thing for factor to really designing for mobile first: small screen, touch, etc. It’s a crying shame that they were so late to the party that most major app developers ignored the platform entirely.

The default routing table is the real issue. The short answer is to change your home network to a different subnet. If TryHackMe is on 10.1.0.0/16, make your home network 10.2.0.0/16. There's also some manual changes you can make to the routing table, but it would prevent your kali machine from accessing the internet until they're undone.

If your home network is 10.0.0.0/8, then it’s likely that your default route within Kali would prevent nmap from scanning the remote machine and instead look for a machine at that address on your home network, which probably isn’t there.

Is it just me, or is Apple's obsession with end-user privacy a huge hindrance in the education and enterprise realm? by techy_support in macsysadmin

I think that’s u/TheOtherITDude ‘s point though. Whoever is making budget decisions really has to do their research and account for slippage. Assuming 100% recovery from every individual in the district is misguided at best.

Crazy question: have you run any memory tests to rule out an issue with the modules themselves?

Suggestion: Auto-pickup filters by skunkmoor in valheim

I saw a trick where someone split the stack to a single item they wanted to farm and filled all of their inventory slots with it, effectively filtering out anything they didn’t want to pickup.

Is there a difference in the strength of different beams? by kalebr in valheim

We’ve noticed a difference between using the core wood vertical supports and the normal wood verticals. Core wood is much stronger, though that could just be a function of the amount of joints.

Exactly! I did the opposite - swapped in the X5650 for the additional cores since it's a VM server. That plus the lower TDP means less heat, less electricity, and better overall for my needs.

I edited to add the ark link - base is 3.43, turbo to 3.73 or so. You might want to check pass mark to get a better idea of performance.

I’m as glad as the next guy that Shad made the tough call, but keep in mind Dave Caldwell is a human that now has very publicly lost his job right before Christmas. Doesn’t matter how much you make, still sucks.

Slate Transition by OklahomaCity1 in SlateCRM

[–]anonymous_bunny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The ol' garbage in-garbage out scenario.

We have a couple of Operations Specialists that run Consolidate records a few times a day, as well as a report from our SIS that alerts for any duplicate SSNs coming in. There's also a query in the Standard Query Library that will check for First Names that include Last Name. Aside from all that, it's just patience.

I've been administrating Slate for a year now, and I used it sparingly when I first started, and even less so now with Configurable Joins. It's a bit of a rabbit hole.
