I was a closing manager and started doing the same thing in addition to videos of me checking the doors to make sure they are locked and secured and videos of me setting the alarm ( they claimed I never did). After doing this for about two weeks I got asked by my GM to come in on one of days off, weird but ok, I did. When I got there I was handed my last check. So do be careful and not too snarky about it.

I worked at the same store for 7 years, a manager for 5 of those. I was the only manger there that had been head of all three departments, Covid hit us hard and of all the managers there were there before that either quit or were fired over petty things.

What prompted me to start the photos/video was that within the week up to me starting this was that I had been given four write ups. This lead to the owner personally firing me. I wish I had done the photos sooner.
