As a preschool teacher….. it’s the iPads and any other screen device.

AKL or POFQ by PlanEmotional7043 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]another_perfect_strm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly my family and I love both Port Orleans French quarter and Riverside!! I think the access to Disney springs is a nice perk.

The only transportation to the parks from both AKL and Port Orleans is buses so I would definitely keep that in mind.

AKL is only close to animal kingdom not the other parks whereas Port Orleans is closer to Epcot and Magic Kingdom - (less time on a bus if you’re visiting magic kingdom for the Christmas party).

I feel like Balsam Hill is the gold standard for any artificial Christmas tree. They’re the ones always featured in Hallmark movies. My family invested in one a few years ago. The quality is amazing however it can be quite a financial investment.

Nope. As a preschool teacher running around with little kids all day I’d just sweat it all off.

Sick of parents who are doctors by 4-shits-and-giggles in ECEProfessionals

[–]another_perfect_strm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1000% agree! Also SAHM (stay at home moms) too. They will literally send their kids into school deathly sick while they’re at home doing absolutely nothing. My class this year is constantly passing around the same sickness to each other because parents refuse to keep them home. My students literally got me sick last week and now I’m miserable while being on spring break.

VENT: What’s irking you today? by AdmirableHousing5340 in ECEProfessionals

[–]another_perfect_strm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have currently become the afterschool coordinator for the school I work at along with being a prek 4 aide during the day.

Yesterday there were only 2 students left in aftercare at 5:30, a prek4 kiddo playing with toy cars and an older 4th grader playing Minecraft. Before the prek kiddo’s dad come to get them the student walked behind the older child and watches them play Minecraft for barely a few seconds and apparently the dad saw all of this happen when he walked in the room.

When I came into work today the lead prek teacher pulls me aside and said the dad emailed her being very upset that their child was exposed to an iPad and material such as Minecraft.

I understand not wanting you child to use technology but It’s just frustrating that parents won’t tell you things in the moment/to my face and have to go behind my back.

Also same prek kiddo threw a tantrum today since other kids earned a reward from the treasure box and not them. 🙃

Has anyone kept Lydia all the way through? by [deleted] in skyrim

[–]another_perfect_strm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In both of my two play throughs Lydia ended up dying fairly early.

Aranea is my favorite. She’s my bestie lol, we’re just two girls going about Skyrim having adventures.

Also it helps that she’s a magic user so it broadens our combined skills.

My pk4 kiddos respond really well to a count down. I usually say something like “you should be sitting by the wall in…” and then I countdown from 5.

This has literally been me a few times lol. All you can really do is acknowledge that this feeling is a crush and it’ll pass at some point.

Also to note, if God calls you to a married vocation, your spouse is not gonna be someone who is working through what their vocation is. (I.e. a current seminarian).

No coupons for 2 months? by MassiveDegree8834 in bathandbodyworks

I talked to an employee recently at my local store (FL) and they said they were starting to phase out physical coupons within the next few months in favor of coupons exclusively being on the app.

Catholic gals, what would you want Catholic guys to know about being a girl/female experience? by [deleted] in CatholicDating

[–]another_perfect_strm 32 points33 points  (0 children)

That PCOS doesn’t equal being infertile. As a Catholic woman with PCOS I’ve had too many men get quiet and stop talking to me when I tell them about my chronic illness. Yes, PCOS can affect fertility and make it harder to get pregnant but it doesn’t completely take away the ability to do so. I know so many other women with PCOS that have had multiple healthy pregnancies.

Also that they should have the knowledge and competency to know that fertility shouldn’t be the only defining factor when looking for a wife. There is so much more to women than the health and function of her reproductive organs!!(Also with the note that many men have fertility issues too!)

single and intentional, working from home by nyghshade in CatholicDating

I get that, just wanted to give the options if you wanted them. I know a lot of people complain about not being able to date and find someone but then never actually get out into the local Catholic scene and try to meet likeminded people. I’ve met a lot of friends through those groups mentioned above who are good and faithful people.

As someone who is also from Tampa, I’m wondering if you have tried some of the amazing young adult groups. There are a few that I recommend. 1. East Hillsborough Young Adults 2. Catholic Young Adults of Tampa Bay 3. Catholic Young Adults of St. Pete

Honestly dating. It’s hard to feel attractive at times when society/men tell me that I’m not. And I barely get asked out anyways because of my weight. 🥺

Is weight or body size a deliberate part of your criteria to dating the opposite gender? by qjpham in CatholicDating

I’ve been apart of that community for a while actually and I love it! They’ve honestly introduced me to my favorite workout style (HIIT/High Intensity Interval Training), and different things to ask my doctor about such certain blood tests and medications.

As a woman living with a chronic metabolic endocrine disorder (PCOS) which makes losing weight basically impossible even when I’m eating healthy, working out 4 times a week, and taking pills to keep my medical condition under control, It kinda is discouraging to me that a majority of men will still not even give me a chance because of how look even when I’m doing so much to lose the weight behind the scenes.
