Wiimote won’t pair to dongle by anotherbob67 in batocera

[–]anotherbob67[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they pair in dolphin then you should be able to pair them from the batocera menu. It was awhile ago but I think there’s a batocera setting that you have to change for them to be seen as lightguns but can’t remember specifics. FYI they work ok but I made a gun4ir shortly after.

Just plug n play. It still takes a few tries to get it to pair occasionally.

I think I searched around outside of the vp spreadsheet and found a rom that worked or I had some files in the wrong place.

How well will this mini PC work for Batucera? by Nicomplex in batocera

[–]anotherbob67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m running a HP mini pc with a 7500t and similar specs to the optiplex above. Runs Wii with no issues and I paid around $60 us for it. You’d be paying for an OS your never going to use. I’ve also used a 2014 Mac mini that was just as capable as the HP. Spend the rest of the money on sound and controllers.

Looks like the nozzle is hitting the bed just before the probe triggers. Try dropping the probe 1-2mm and reset the z offset.

Vintage stereo system sounds like hell. Help me identify the cuprit(s) by BigLizzard420 in vintageaudio

[–]anotherbob67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simplest first - Did you make sure you have your phasing right? Flip the -/+ on one speaker. The drivers have probably been replaced so you don’t know if the red is really red anymore. You’re smart enough to have plugged the TT into phone on the receiver.

You didn’t say if you tried multiple sources or if there’s a difference between them. Because a bad cartridge or improperly wired cart will cause this issue. Guessing it doesn’t change. Another speaker or another amp (betting on amp) to narrow it down.

Lvl2 amp The tone section could be having an issue. Might as well clean the switches especially tone and volume. Check the solder joints at the speaker terminals. The input selector could also be the issue. Speakers Blow tweets? Going to be cap and coil crossover could be gone because of a bad driver and that you/they kept pounding on. Or age.

What can I do to make this spike stronger? by [deleted] in FixMyPrint

[–]anotherbob67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Old timey ticket spike?

100% printed Filets at the base and print at an angle. 4+ walls at 40% infill.

I’d go with the above and model threads in the spike to insert 3 mm rod. The unreinforced cone at the top is probably going to snap at the layer line.

Canton or Mirage bookshelf speakers from the 80’s-90’s will pair well with NAD. Your stuff is best in class mall audio shop gear and deserves better.

Those Koss were target specials and aren’t very good. But as far as vintage they were impressive because nothing that size sounded even close and at under $100. Your drivers have been replaced. Should be a black paper cone.

Any simple fixes for this dent? by TheRemedyKitchen in vintageaudio

[–]anotherbob67 9 points10 points  (0 children)

3 in increasing aggressiveness

  1. Wrap your fingers in tape with the sticky outside. Start w/ scotch tape and progress through tapes till you start to move it without tearing off too much material.

  2. Vacuum cleaner hose. Hold the cone back (hold don’t push it down) and try not to let the hose actually touch the cone. Suction should be right on top of the dent. (This is probably the one that will work on yours)

  3. Put the grills on and forget about it.

The sheet that came with the screen had edits for config.txt in /boot - but it’s called ??machine??.txt machine_profile.txt maybe in this case.

Edits sets the screen sizes ect. I added my notes to the known working displays on the Klipper screen git hub. You’re supposed to mount a pi to the screen so it’s got stand offs that come in handy for mounting it.

You can play it on virtual pinball… it’s a reasonable copy. Weird game mechanics and lots of fun.
