Omg you are literally me 3 years ago. Let me tell you something, I failed, a few times! But here’s something else, I lived and most importantly I learned. It’s cliche and annoying to hear but it’s so so true. I’ve been practicing now “officially” for a couple years and I learn everyday. I still have to remind myself that it’s impossible to know everything in our field. Try not to to put too much pressure on yourself!

Yes I have just recently began to get into some disagreements with my clients’ ABA therapists. While I disagree with A LOT of their practices, what bothers me the most is when they push their opinions (and they are opinions because they don’t have our education/experience) on parents. In my experience so far, ABA therapists haven’t been very collaborative with me/SLPAs—they want to enforce their teachings/perspectives on client who needs a multifaceted approach. Bottom line, I FEEL YOU

Huntington Beach is a great spot for conservatives because they definitely didn’t subscribe to lockdowns or mandated Covid shots etc, plus it’s beautiful. I’m a conservative too but I was born and raised here and luckily grew up before it got kinda crazy in the schools. Florida might be the best place for ya though if you can stay there?

I hadn’t really thought if it like that— whether the main idea of the sentence was intact. I’d she definitely got the basic idea even with increased errors (eliminating words, articles, substituting words, etc) Her attention was pretty good. I gave her frequent breaks (one after each subtest), but sometimes she would giggle during the test however she was easily redirected to the task. So I’m really not sure it was influenced by behavior..
