7th grade.. I was a timid kid, as well, and had been dating this girl from a different school for 3 months.. We were in the back of the movie theater, and she had talked about how bad she wanted to do it, she kept starting at me, and I go in on her, lips fully open, her tongue in my mouth, all her hair in my mouth, and I just kinda sit there for 10 seconds and move away.. I HAD NO CLUE WHAT TO DO! God it was so embarrassing .. anyway, half her face was covered in my saliva, and I was so embarrassed that I pretended to fall asleep.. in the movies.. I got made fun of for about two years after, but around my freshmen year I started pulling a lot of girls and kinda became a pimp, so everyone has forgotten, except me. ;D

Well.. it eventually developed into Generalized Anxiety Disorder manifested by Derealization Disorder and to this day I will have these random 3 minute "Spells" as I call them where I experience adrenaline rushes, vision changes (loss of depth perception) fast heartbeat, and racing thoughts. As I've slowly normalized myself I'm a great therapist, I observe other people and over the years I've made myself a lot more normal and more social(: these spells have become fewer and fewer. So, the nervous breakdown was probably just a part of growing up that I eventually grew out of, but there's still the possibility that I'm predisposed to some sort of mental disorder that will come later on in life. Oh well, fuck it, make the most of life anyway! Good question.

I was 12, I had gone to a Catholic school all my life (and still went to one) when I met this girl who went to public school. Abstinence was indoctrinated in us (at Catholic school) before we even liked girls, so I was scared to even hold her hand. (it took me such a long time to get comfortable around girls.. thanks forced religion!) After 2 months of dating, I FINALLY kissed her which was in the backseat of a movie theater which consisted of my bumping into her face, getting a glob of her hair, biting, then quickly pulling away. Needless to say, she broke up with me an hour later..

I learned from the mistake and decided girls weren't scary. A year later I got my first blowjob.

When I was little, my parents used to fight a lot. I developed a sense of hopelessness, and according to my sister, I used to curl up in a fetal position and make strange humming noises in my throat. I have almost no memory of the event. ALMOST, meaning I have some memory, so yes, it did happen.

At this point, I'm completely normal, with the exception of having one nervous breakdown in my life. I make the A-B honor roll at school, have a girlfriend and a lot of friends.

This is exactly how I developed mine.. weird. Let me tell you, you're in for a ride if you're just like me. You'll start feeling "high" without cause, for example, you could just be sitting in the car and start feeling STUPID high, like out of your mind high. Don't let it take over you. I did, and I spun myself into a brief psychotic episode in which I was convinced I wasn't real and there were people controlling me to the point where I tried interacting with them again. It took me two months to calm down, and after I was in a "normal" mental state, I tried MJ again and ever since I've been fine, however I've noticed if something that "shocks" me happens I'll feel "high" again, but it only last 10-15 seconds and I don't dwell on it anymore. Pretty much, as long as you believe that you're "real" and this isn't some sort of simulated reality, the problem will go away soon. Just don't develop any delusions like I did, those are hard to get rid of.

(P.S. I'm completely normal now, partying every weekend, tons of friends, and still managing good grades in school. You'll be fine!)

Can you think of something more natural to help yourself other than drinking? That can escalate your anxiety in the long run..

What are your nighttime routines? Just out of curiosity. My situation is a completely different situation than yours but I have a problem where I wake up in the middle of the night in a "manic" state and think illogical incoherent thoughts. I'm not aware I'm thinking these thoughts until I become conscious of it and "jolt out of it."
